This is "pull your pants up" rhetoric in a Temu lace-front :unimpressed:

All this superficial shït could change and we'd still be in the same position we're in right now. None of this addresses the structural, systemic issues surrounding Black people's socioeconomic position in America. :unimpressed:

EDIT: Of course she has fückin' Fox News on in the background. She need to protest her hairline and stop trying to speak for us :unimpressed:
yeah life for black folks woudnt change if we focused on education and business, stopped killing each other, stopped having kids out of wedlock :unimpressed:

What does white supremacy have to do with taking education seriously? Because our culture doesn't and the stats show that.

What does white supremacy have to do with unprotected sex and making babies out of wedlock?
Nothing. Parents need to be active when it's involving education. When I was young schools were miseducating black kids. Parents set up their own schools and Saturday schools to combat the racist narrative.

Good question. I wish you didn't have to ask. I wish you learned it about it in school, or had some general studies or interests that would have led you to or provided you the information before this morning.

Start with this

After that I have a couple of great books I would suggest. All of your inquiries and more will be answered.
Thanks. I watched the video and like so often what happens is that the majority of black American history is focused of destruction. And it leads to a lot of defeatism.

If we build it, they gon destroy it… 🤦‍♂️

The documentary didn’t talk about how they rebuilt greenwood and it surpassed its pre-riot levels. And I bet very few ppl know that

We had many cities and black towns and black economic centers. Mount bayou in Mississippi is another one. Hell there were tons of them. Not only the urban renewal but the biggest thing is that many of our ppl rushed to spend their money with the white folks

I was just thinking he can't be Black American, if he is, he's suburban raised. I don't know if dudes be trolling or what.

I need to avoid these topics :francis:

I am from the suburbs of one the most dangerous cities in the US. (That's not a flex.) The one that started "Hands up, don't shoot".

I have no recent non-Black or Black immigrant ancestry. I can't point to anyone in my current family who is non-Black.

I do not "blame the White man for all my problems"; I am a homeowner with a good job, a business owner, and a family man. I am educated. I grew up in church with a father and mother in the home. I do not live paycheck to paycheck (My wife recently pointed out to me that we LITERALLY have a house with a white-picket fence. ) :mjlol:

I just think you're wrong, and that has nothing to do with where I'm from.

You say I'm not a good poster, yet you refuse to answer my questions. If I'm ignorant, why aren't you willing to educate on the subject?

Why are we pretending black people don't make bad life choices?

Do we not have control over having kids out of wedlock?

Do we not have control over what music we create?

I stand firm, that until we control the things in our control, there is no fighting white supremacy. You need to take education seriously. You need to community resources.

One of the main points you're trying to make in this thread is about Black people not prioritizing education.

I've worked in Education with middle school kids. I've studied educational funding and how money is allocated. I've seen so-called "problem children who don't want to learn" do a 180 once resources were made available.

In other words, I've seen enough to know that the idea that you're basing your question on--that Black kids just don't want to learn--is complete horseshït.

I have no desire to educate people who aren't open to having their opinion changed. That means you.

Last place in reading literacy, mathematics, & science. Not to mention I went to schools in the hood.

Do you have kids? If they fail out of highschool is the blame on you or systematic racism?

@Ezekiel 25:17 the part you're not getting is that I'm not excusing Black kids' (or their parents) choices, or pretending that problem children don't exist.

I just don't focus on it because it's definitely not the cause of Black students being last in educational rankings. Assuming Black kids don't want to learn also assumes we're playing on an even field with White kids and other minorities. We aren't.

So black kids are last in education rankings mainly because of white supremacy?

Are your kids last in educational rankings?

greenwood revived and it surpassed its pre-riot levels.

I gave you a dap because this is true. However, once again, the same thing that has happened in other cities, happened to greenwood also.

Screenshot-20250613-110917.png

Zoom into the second map if you need to. Beside I-244 is all city land, parks, parking, ball fields. The black businesses are gone, the black residents, gone.

There have been efforts to revitalize or preserve or restart in the area. But the city has said "they don't see it valuable to do so" and have rejected grants and offers, shuttering and denying black businesses and developers.

And right next to that district they've provided $40 million to white people to build and expand in the areas surrounding greenwood to intentionally deprive it. Black people didn't get business approvals, loans, and other tax incentives to build upon, revitalize or start a new. But we know who gives out the loans and approves these things. And when we are denied it's not because we read less or aren't as smart, or as financially stable, or trying to take advantage of the system, or shoot each other too much, or don't pull up our pants, or aren't married, or watch too much rap and all the other shyts c00ns try to say.

So basically Everything is the white man's fault

It's as simple as they don't want us to succeed. When you want someone or a group to succeed you don't push them down (especially at every opportunity), you help them up, hell sometimes you want to be a part of the success. White America isn't interested in having an alliance. We aren't equal, when we lose they don't lose.

If the US helped black people in their own states a much as they've helped Israel and Ukraine in the last 5 years......even once. 10 years ago, 20, 30, 25, 40, 50, 60, 75...we'd be a vastly different america. Some think that imaginary fence, with all those pretend obstacles that black people need to meet/surpass might not be in place. But they are wrong because we are not them and they not just want to but need to keep themselves separated from us. We are not and have never been one America or all Americans in the same pot.
