greenwood revived and it surpassed its pre-riot levels.
I gave you a dap because this is true. However, once again, the same thing that has happened in other cities, happened to greenwood also.
Zoom into the second map if you need to. Beside I-244 is all city land, parks, parking, ball fields. The black businesses are gone, the black residents, gone.
There have been efforts to revitalize or preserve or restart in the area. But the city has said "they don't see it valuable to do so" and have rejected grants and offers, shuttering and denying black businesses and developers.
And right next to that district they've provided $40 million to white people to build and expand in the areas surrounding greenwood to intentionally deprive it. Black people didn't get business approvals, loans, and other tax incentives to build upon, revitalize or start a new. But we know who gives out the loans and approves these things. And when we are denied it's not because we read less or aren't as smart, or as financially stable, or trying to take advantage of the system, or shoot each other too much, or don't pull up our pants, or aren't married, or watch too much rap and all the other shyts c00ns try to say.
So basically Everything is the white man's fault
It's as simple as they don't want us to succeed. When you want someone or a group to succeed you don't push them down (especially at every opportunity), you help them up, hell sometimes you want to be a part of the success. White America isn't interested in having an alliance. We aren't equal, when we lose they don't lose.
If the US helped black people in their own states a much as they've helped Israel and Ukraine in the last 5 years......even once. 10 years ago, 20, 30, 25, 40, 50, 60, 75...we'd be a vastly different america. Some think that imaginary fence, with all those pretend obstacles that black people need to meet/surpass might not be in place. But they are wrong because we are not them and they not just want to but need to keep themselves separated from us. We are not and have never been one America or all Americans in the same pot.
