Underrated by far. Them and Above The Law were throwing out great albums but got underappreciated by the rest of the west coast heavyweights, but yet their track record was a lot better most of them anyways.
Yeah I think a lot of West Coast rap groups from the early 90s are very underrated in comparison East Coast counterparts

I think it also hurt Cypress Hill is their cross over appeal. They aren't even really looked at like a rap group anymore. But their first two albums are damn near perfect.

Cypress Hill was never the same after battling Ice Cube. Cube broke them down on that song "King Of The Hill" and pretty much said what we were all thinking concerning their rhyme skills. I think the slept on one is Muggs who gave them their sound as well as being responsible for giving House Of Pain their one hit wonder.

The first 4 songs on that first Cypress Hill album is :ohlawd:

theyre ranked appropriately. theyre legends and they get their props by both the media and fans.

but theyre not a group that i would throw in my top 20 or anything.

muggs should get more mentions as a great producer tho.

Their 2nd album was the most disappointing moment for me as a hip hop fan.
1st album though is an undisputed classic, and the 3rd joint is pretty good too.
