I heard this last night! I was like :wow: @ where "PLAYING THE DOZENS" comes from......

I'm glad I get to live in a world where Black men are now allowed to tell the truth and try and wrestle back control of our matriarichal :gag: societiy. It's spreading brehs. :ld:

Tariq's Hidden Colors & podcasts :russ:, Umair Johnson, Tommy Sotomayor, Sarge, the little guys on the scene too! :salute:

Once the truth is learned, it can never be unlearned. :ld:

I love dikk Gregory.

he was one of Martin Luther King's best friends in the world, so you ignorant uppity motherfukkers can't say shyt to him.

He says nikka, for the same reason Huey Newton did, and for the same reason I do.

We don't let you uppity motherfukkers forget where we came from. You wanna be Seinfeld ass nikkaz.

D!cks my dude..:aicmon:

But I disagree with him 60% of the time. Hes talking about a blackman on a horse riding off into the sunset, huh? Sometimes he just seems confused .. but his autobiography is one of my favorite books.

Wow ironic I'm just seeing this thread after I just finished watching "Why we laugh" on Netflix. One of the best parts of the whole film was when he spoke on how he named his book ****** and the dedication within it had me like :wow:

Edit: I don't know if I agree with everything but it is interesting to hear his pov.

dikk Gregory says some off the wall stuff sometimes, I'll listen to it later. What he doesn't talk about is that Tarantino has a history of using the n word. In his script for True Romance, its used repeatedly. In Reserivor Dogs, and Pulp Fiction its used gratuitously. I don't have a problem if its used rarely, I just read a book by Jay McInerney, where some of the black characters use it. But why does Tarantino feel the need to use in incessantly? Tarantino also declines to use other derogatory words, like c*nt, which ryhmes with bunt, just replace the first letter with a c, or derogatory terms for Jews like kike, or himey. If he did, the J-J-J-J Jew-Unit would be on him like white on rice. If you watch Tarantino's films, you would have no idea that those words exist.

while you're caught up with your nikka geiger counter.... just how much have you paid attention to Tarantino films? how can you possibly even pay attention to a film, if you're only cognizant of one word and the amount of times it's said?

How many nikkas per movie is acceptable to you? 5? 10? 15?

y'all make it seem like every Tarantino movie is a 2 hour long Kramer rant...when they clearly arent.

Spike Lee's fakkit ass wishes he had the cult following that QT has...and he cries about everybody who's doing it bigger than him.

white folks call us ******s all day, but you hearing the word 38 times in Jackie Brown is too much for you?

The whole thing is hypocritical.

There's so many things on tv, media, and movies that negatively depict or make fun of black people and we choose to single out one thing?

There are so many different aspects of what happened during slavery. None of us were alive to give an accurate description. It's an argument that nobody is competent enough to have, considering none of us were alive.

what are you talking about? Come on, QT done used shyt like "indochina", "kike", "Gook" and stuff like that in his movies...now don't get me wrong it might be much to many people. But people say nikka a lot more than any other slur/racial epithet in casual conversation.

And i also ask, are people who are doing the ****** counts in QT movies counting the times where black people are saying ******? How can it...its ok for us to say ****** in movies because "thats how we talk"...well guess what its how non nikkas talk too.

:manny: all this over a word...something that can't do anything to you.

nah, it's cause Tarantino is white, and has his characters use the word.

Nobody popped shyt at Rick Rubin over producing songs with rappers saying nikka in it....or Jimmy Iovine for how many times Death Row artists said nikka on albums he greenlighted via Interscope.

Tarantino is very involved in the writing process in his movies...so with that, and with other movies you have ****** being said by black mouths but with white pens behind them....how is that different than them just saying it?

White folks been saying nikka through black voices for decades. Its to a point now where the word means nothing to me now. As it should be...its a word. if it doesn't apply to you why get offended (or does it apply)...i happen to think every one are nikkas, because every culture has its version of "nikka shyt" "redneck shyt" its all "nikka" truthfully.

and even at that, Tarantino detractors act like there is some random "nikka" being said every few minutes. or like it's this continual "nikka, nikka, nikka" for minutes at a time for no apparent reason.

Who really saw anything out of the ordinary with Ordell Robbie and Beaumont?

i know plenty of nikkas who try to come across as more sophisticated than what they are...and crash dummy junkies who don't really have that much sense.

Artistic license is key, it's why the scene from Scary Movie with all those white people rapping along to Mystikal is funny...and Kramers shyt wasn't.
