BYRON SCOTT IS A GOOD COACH FOR VETERAN TEAMS. I DUNO IF HES GOOD FOR REBUILDING, BUT I KNOW HE HAS EXCELLENT KNOWLEDGE OF THE GAME.
it's not luck, it was pure 10000% skill. Look at the way he adjusted his body and timed himself to hit that shot off the glass. No luck at all.
If you've played basketball before... That was a ugly desperate heave he didn't even mean to bank it in
What about when he yammed on Nerlens Noel? Yo ass just gone act like that didnt happen all for the sake of hating on this kid huh?shyt look weak as fukk. I came in here thinking doggy yammed on someone. Instead he put up a struggle -plate floater that he was lucky found the right spot on the bacboard and went in.
STANS, i tell you![]()
The coli wanna shyt on the kid every chance they get and big up that non shootin, turnover machine, no D playing bum Mudiay
Let me put it to you like this. what i've seen from scott this year can't even count against scott.I understand where you are coming from(I disagree about guarding kobe I think they guard kobe because it is their job to guard Kobe) but answer honestly. From what you've seen this far from B.Scott do you want him as your future coach?
i aint going to lie to you. i'll call it like i see it. since i've been a fan of a winning team for so long. i know what it takes to build a winner. it takes time. unless your rookies are shaq, magic types. fresh out of college destroying everything in their path.
lets see isnt that what we all are when we talk about top rookies? pretty much.Reactionaries, lol![]()

Let me guess this doesn't count huh?

I didn't mean this from a Ws and Ls standpoint, I meant it from pure potential, defensive schemes you've seen, and offensive setsLet me put it to you like this. what i've seen from scott this year can't even count against scott.
Think about this. you have never seen a coach in this situation before have you? I know i havent.
Scott's To Do list coming from the Front office:
1. send kobe out with a bang(meaning let him do him, good or bad).. this also means let kobe be out there in the 4th to make a hero shot(even if he's bricking 99.9% of them).
2. raise the kids
3. Try to win games
4. if you can't win games. low level hush hush take L's and tank for simmons.
..
Then here's Scott's on personal To Do list as a head coach:
1. Win games - can't do that with this group
2. Let kobe go out on his own terms
3. Raise the kids- slowly
4. Do what the Front office tells me to do
5. Try not to alienate the vets that signed on by not playing them. So this means you have to give lou more time than you want to instead of playing the kids more mins. This means you have to give nick young some burn, bass, etc. hibbert. Those guys didnt have to sign with us. Remember that. In addition the NBA is a brother hood. Everyone looks out for everyone unless you're a complete A hole lazy dude. Meaning, i've seen mitch put guys on our pre season teams that he knew was not going to make the team. but he did so, so they could get a nice big stage(lakers is big stage) look. So it means they will get a good job that season from other NBA Teams or Overseas. This is what coaches do for vets in a situation where they have a team full of kids. It's not like Lou will, bass, hibbert, Nick young are trash. they're solid players for what they are good at. Notice sacre and black are not getting much burn at all. you know why? because overall they suck. sacre moreso then black.
^^This is why Scott has had the most difficult situation i have ever seen for a coach. This is why i can't even count the bad in this season against him. because some of these TO DO's are counterproductive to other things on the list. You can't have it both ways all the time. Lucky for him, kobe is a teacher. So even when kobe is in chuck mode he's still willing to teach the kids. So they wont get to mad at him. the only people mad is nick young. you know why? i think he's on the last year of his contract. and he wants to get a chance to shine to get another decent contract. Sorry nick, you had all last year with no kobe to ball out. and you bricked out. sorry bruh. and i like nick.
With all that said. What scott is trying to teach the kids is actually playoff basketball. It's similar to what mark jackson did with the Warriors. Which is why even they gave their old coach props and so did kerr after they won it all. maybe scott is the guy to prepare the kids. and then another guy takes them to the next stage. maybe he can take them all the way once they grow up and we get a nice FA or two.
Look around. dont you see the kids developing? I DO. look at how good randle looks, look at clarkson(who knew), look at russell coming out of his shell. and even we have seen glimpses from Lance Jr.(this is why they play Bass at center.. to make room for nance JR at PF but no one knows this. you have to pay attention to detail friends.)
OH and to that other point. They are guarding kobe out of fear of him going off. If you want to see the difference. watch how they guard Metta when he's at the 3 pt line. they just let him shoot. Watch how they guard any young unknown player in the nba that isnt that hot. They really dont bother to guard them. they start playing free safety defense. clogging up the middle, etc.
can we even tell? I mean old man kobe is out there chucking trey's like he's in his backyard with one of his daughters. thats not going to be the offense going forward. shoot, he didnt even do that as much when he was fully healthy and young. i mean the guy is just chucking and having a ball doing it right now. and i aint hating, he earned this right. So again, What offense?I didn't mean this from a Ws and Ls standpoint, I meant it from pure potential, defensive schemes you've seen, and offensive sets
