A 31 year old point-guard is far from old. You can get more years out of a point-guard than any other positions. We can keep Dragic until his contract expire. He is an essential piece of our offense that speed up the pace and has gotten better in half-court sets. The additional plus we get from Dragic is his compatibility with Waiters. Those two have a great chemistry. If I was Pat would take the chance to keep them two together. The Heat can give Waiters a contract that isn't expensive but attractive enough to keep him here in Miami. At first I wasn't able to see the upside the Heat has due to the first 40 game; we were in the bottom of the east. And we had injuries.Sorry breh, but this team is far away because of the fact it's built around Dragic, who is a good but not great player and he's turning 31 next month. The window for this team with him as the go to guy on offense is maybe 2 more years where he can play at this level, then you'll have to hope that Winslow / Waitiers / Johnson or Richardson can step in and fill that role which honestly doesn't seem likely.
The Wiz, Bucks and Celtics are all young teams who are right now on a similar level as the Heat while also having a lot more room for growth because their best players (Giannis, Middleton, Wall, Beal, Porter, Thomas etc) are under 30, or in the Celtics case they have other avenues to improve with lottery picks.
The Heat are in no man's land right now, sort of where the Hawks are where they have a competitive team but you look at the roster and nobody really jumps out at you.
The Heat should continue to bet on the core players it has and make some minor changes to make the team better. We are not far off from being a successful team.

that's silly.
