It's not really my place to say, but I'll say, lol.

The issues were brewing way before the label breakup. And like I said in my other post, Dame is all about loyalty. That's the code. Jay is my guy, but he was making moves that only benefited himself, and was setting up deals and relationships for down the line that didn't involve Dame and Biggs. It just seemed like he started planning his own post-Roc career, but left everyone else out. I think that made Dame start doing petty sh*t in response, like giving out VP positions at the label to people Jay didn't like. After that, it was never the same.

So my opinion is that Jay should have been more loyal and that Dame should have handled how he responded to the situation much better.

Is it true that Jay took Dame to dinner and told him that he can't be looked at as a businessman if Dame and Biggs are around him? Because Dame heard that Jay was going to take the job as president of Def Jam as long as Dame and Biggs were left behind. He thought John Menielly had said that, not Jay.

A lot of people came through to speak for him. Mariah did too. But the judge was asking Jay as Beans' "employer", if he could keep an eye on him to support him if they freed him, just to make sure he didn't get back around the wrong people again. And Jay said he couldn't do that, and didn't want to back him "to that extent". So they kept Beans locked up until the trial ended.

It's not about people just going to the trial. It was about how he turned down supporting Beans when asked by the judge if he could do that, so they could release him. Ain't nobody buggin'. Those are the facts.

And no, none of us fans had firsthand knowledge as kids back then of what R. Kelly was doing. This was people who saw and were around him doing all that sh*t. We're fans at home throwing on CD's and all that. We don’t know what these people are doing behind the scenes. We're definitely not in the position to make money with the dude and pretend we don’t know. So it's not the same. You can't even compare those two things.

I never heard about those two having issues.

He said when he was having a lot of bad press and things said about him, Kanye came to his defense. And then when Kanye was going through his little tough time, he went and stayed with Dame and Dame was backing him when people would go at Kanye. They've always supported each other. They shot a movie together a couple years ago too. I don’t know what happened with that though.

Dmx said da same thing. Jay makes decisions based on money, this goes all da way back to selling crack to his own mother. He's money driven, some ppl have actual morals and don't just use people.

The funniest thing I find about cats who side with Dame post Roc breakup is that they claim Dame was a saint who did no wrong. They’ll say Jay is a snake and disloyal because he split without telling him, but act like it was all good when Dame was making Cam VP without telling him, firing all staff who worked closely with his partner behind his back, signing artists his partner didn’t agree with, and taking money from the label to fund his own projects.

In the end, all 3 got paid equally for the Roc. Dude even agreed to give Dame (and Biggs) the label for his portion of 1 album, and he declined. That should have been the end, but when you refuse to see your own faults, you’re destined to play the blame game forever.
