What I said was ABSOLUTELY true though. YOU DON'T RUN THE shyt IF IT'S NOT YOUR MONEY, it's that simple. If you're borrowing money from somebody or using someone else's money, then at the end of the day they own your shyt. They might not boss you around, they might not even give a fukk what you do, but when it comes to the basic, they own your shyt. What you're saying is the equivalent of someone living in their parents' guesthouse, they have the whole guesthouse to themselves, but their parents actually own it or pay the mortgage or rent or whatever, but you feel like you're the boss of that guesthouse simply because your parents don't tell you what to do.

Anything that somebody can LEGALLY take from you under a reasonable circumstance (obviously there's things like the government being able to take your shyt, or somebody can rob you, etc., but I think you know what I'm getting at with my statement)... you don't own, breh.

Maybe it's just a difference of perspective because when I say "boss" I usually mean "owner" and when others say "boss" they tend to mean "supervisor".

Edit: Let me make it clear though, I'm not saying there's anything wrong with using other people's money or being an employee or anything like that, or that it makes you less of a man or anything like Dame said.

question for you. Lets take a homeowner for example. If he doesnt pay that mortgage every month, the company can foreclose and take his house. Is the home owner still a boss?

He's not the owner of the house, the bank (or whomever) owns the house. It's not a business so technically speaking I guess nobody is/isn't the boss, but the bank in this situation would be the king here.

There's a lot wrong with that. And it's not the issue of people having a boss "once" in their life because that's not the problem, it's that people are satisfied having a boss their WHOLE lives.

I thought interview was great:banderas:...people with bosses is gon be mad as shyt though hearing this interview, and Dame should realize he might be pissing off the people he's trying to sell shyt to by being horrible at selling himself and his product:mjlol:....Ive had a boss for most of my life and my little side hussles, but ive never took money ive had to invest in not being an employee:mjcry:....I don't have a issue with Dames mentality because as much as people talk shyt about him,so far he's never had a job....so his ideology of "putting the money back in the streets" is working for him,it will work until his ideas stop working:manny:...He admitted his ideology comes from self belief a lot of us just don't have...but he can defend his stance passionately, can people who are employees passionately defend why they are employees:patrice:?

Only thing that aint cool is the fact he didn't really let them defend they ideology on why they would rather have a boss than be a boss....But honestly can most of us who have bosses really defend how great being an employee is vs being a boss:patrice:?....You might love what you do,but you either don't have the skills, know how, work ethic, self belief to do the things you really want to do....I like the fact Dame will get some people thinking about a different mindset to have actually....Some will just be salty and offended, some will let it marinate and use it as motivation, and some of us know ourselves and know we aint built to be full time bosses:whoa:

And company A can toss your ass out whenever they want and you'd have nothing to show for it. You really missing the point

I have actually owned a small business before so I know what I'm talking about. Closed down the company to make $60K more than I was making as a business owner.

Listen to Dame end up in the poor house.

More on Dame's usage of Pause and how it's truly correlated to his lack of growth.....

If anyone has ever heard DJ Enuff & Jay-Z's Hovi Home mixtape with all those hot 97 freestyles.....there's also interviews. This tape came out in 2003 right before the black album. Anyways, during one of the interviews Jay slips up and says pause and then excuses himself and says "I don't play "pause" anymore"........That always stood out to me. Seems like that was around the time he truly started to grow out of the Rocafella situation. He had just came back from vacation in Europe with Beyonce....Even on the mixtape he says I'm giving everyone he has beef with until the end of the year to diss him and he'll respond and then I'm done. Just seemed like he outgrew all the "nikka shyt" that came with the rap business. Keep in mind Beans had also just had a case for shooting someone (after years and years of constantly getting in trouble)......Most people didn't realize it at the time but it was clear that Jay was just over it all.

That said, it's funny to hear Dame on the same shyt, saying pause all the time (in an era where most rational people are secure with their own sexuality and accepting of everyone elses), always talking about his OG's and what they taught him and how they should handle things, always talking about what a real man does........He's just a sad individual. A talented, hard working one who just couldn't seem to grow beyond the street/Harlem mentality. Jay had a vision for more.

For me it's getting harder and harder to listen to these Dame interviews. In addition to being flat out delusional, a liar, hypocrite and someone who constantly contradicts themselves, he still has a high school mentality of being "cool" and none of us give a shyt anymore.

It's also annoying to hear Dame constantly speak on how "if you're not putting up your own money you're not the boss"......it's just flat out wrong.

i wouldnt have let that slide. my pride and who i am as a man, i couldnt let that go. then again envy is not really confrontational like that. I definately am.

what you think you would have done? got physical with him? or talk disrespectful back to him?

knowing me i would have went deep. I would have said "How does your son feel that on record, you are known as a fake ass puff,,, now youre not even dame dummy, youre just stu fine with missing teeth"

that reference would cut deep, he knows goddamn well who that is, so does char and envy.

"im not my own boss? well michael jordan always had a coach, jay has advisors, look where he is, hes big and puff at the same time"

"how does your son feel when your shyt gettin foreclosed left and right an dyou cant afford to pay your lawyers, its rigth there on your sons smartphone daddy cant pay the bills"

"When i die, the american flag will be draped on my coffin for my service, at your rate, you wont even be able to afford a damn coffin, how does your son feel he might share that burden?"

ask anyone whos ever had a real convo with me, in real life i am a bit rough around the edges

something along those lines.

That's on you though, you didn't make most out of your situation, you went from being a business owner to an expendable
