That the proper way to accumulate wealth is to get in, make a profit, CASH OUT..then do it all over again. And make sure that you invest in other projects. Get in make a profit and cash out. You own 100% of a company, you overprice it and sell 50% of it.

You seem to have an understanding of what needs to be done and how to do it, if you cant see where his points and your knowledge meet up just let it go.

He said he was a hustler on the streets, with no boss (which is impossible) being respected and since you had a boss, you weren't respected.

he said he had an og and when he pitched the work and re-upped he started doin his own thing.which is what anyone in any working situation should be doing. like i said i dont know what kind of jobs these nikkas is working at that dont encourage growth. if youve had the same boss for 3+ years and he aint talked to you about moving up or bettering your position you either need to check him or quit. he also said interning was good experience.

He never said that. fukk is wrong with you nikkas?
He did say that...he alluded to drug dealing as respectable when he was doing it. He then went on to say having a boss isn't respectable. In fact he implied it's quite pause worth :mjpls:

Why don't you elaborate on the bullshyt that he was talking?

Im gonna be brief because other people in this thread have debunked a lot of what has come out of this dudes mouth in a better way than I ever could

whether you are Bill Gates or you flip burgers at Mcdonalds .... If you get up in the morning go to work to provide for your family THATS WHAT MAKES YOU MAN.... I find it ironic that this idiot whose entire fortune was seeded by the proceeds of crime would shyt on honest people .....is this what he really wants to teach the youth? because that is the message this idiot is conveying, that its better to be a self employed drug dealer than an honest employee...

Any smart business advisor will tell you that If possible you never risk your own money to start a business, the truth is most businesses fail and its better to lose someone elses money than your own...
look at Trump, look at Richard Branson, their entire fortunes were built on borrowing , investment or financing..... If you look at Branson in a lot of his companies hes not even a major shareholder....the richest black man in the world Dangote got a loan to build an oil refinery.... using other peoples money minimises your own personal exposure If things go belly up....maybe If Dame wasnt "putting money into all my businesses" he would have some money ...

my personal feeling is that he couldnt attract any type of financing which is why he had to end up using his own money

what he says about saving money is laughable ..... many of these immigrants you see that start their own business arent getting bank or family loans , they are working shytty jobs for shytty pay saving every penny possible to start up..... many a fortune was started from money seeded through savings

a lot of the dudes on this forum talk the talk but they aint ready "we should start our own businesses" ...." but the banks aint giving us business loans"... end of conversation..... SAVE...save as much as possible, cut out all the unnecessaries it will take longer, but sooner or later you will have enough seed money for your venture .... I personally know so many people that started this way

you dont have any savings when that rainy day hits youre fukkED....you become ill , the economy goes into a downturn and you dont have a safety net to fall back on because you listened to an idiot that said you shouldnt put money away for a rainy day you only have yourself to blame when you lose everything...

when me and my brother put our business together we quickly deduced that we couldnt take any money out of the company in terms of salaries for about a year.... we both lived off our savings for that period of time and we both have the usual financial commitments as the average person....

My father owned his own company so did my mother..... so does my Dads brother and my mothers sister, I am no way some business guru , Im not saying Dame Dash is a bad businessman because clearly hes not, what I am saying is that he talks a lot of crap and anyone with half a brain can see it..

There are a lot of intelligent posts in this thread by people much smarter than me, I am only speaking from a perspective of my own personal experience as being a business owner and not as someone that knows it all...

The reality of running your own business is that in most cases you will be working four times as many hours for a lot less money.... most businesses fail whether you are black, white, latino or asian....keep this in mind

The most important thing Ive learned really really quickly is that business is built on relationships.... i never got a contract cold, i.e put in a cold pitch.... it was always a case of people meeting us , decided they wanted to fukk with us and then being invited to partner up
believe me most business is not decided in the boardroom, If people like you they will fukk with you

I never planned to go into business for myself I didnt really have a plan, but in both cases it was with people that took a personal liking to me and invited me into partnerships.... no one is going to do business with you If you arent likeable....

anyone who thinks that they can go into business for themselves in beast mode and bully their way to the top is in for a rude awakening, I meet people all the time, doesnt matter wht they bring to the table, If I dont like them Im not doing business with them and I find that most people have that attitude .....my biggest expense right now are business lunches, bar tabs etc.... thats where most deals are done, by the time you get to the office its just a formality

dame is mad disrespectful towards envy IMO.

he sounds like the typical bitter-cocky nikka who shyts on other dudes yet they're flat broke always talking bout their 'side hustles'

goat interview simply because charlemagne had to fall back with the bad jokes and gossip and yee had to chill with the gossip. envy seems like the most hustle-oriented of the group which is why i think dame gravitated towards him.

I like Dame's perspective on the Music biz, no way can you take what he says and relate it to the average Joe.

I notice people are tearing down his message and relating it to people who will work their entire life and never make a million dollars in salary.

Do the math, the average person will not see a million dollars in salary. This is why all the talk is pretty silly. And its ever worst when people are throwing Billionaires in the mix, and comparing them to guys who have 40k a year jobs.

I want Dame to shake up the industry, and this is where his message really APPLIES.

I think the problem is that he's seen Envy since forever.
Imagine 15 years ago he would see Envy, a young dude who wanted to be fly but he was just Flex's little protege out in the clubs faking it.
While Dame was the shyt in NY, rich as fukk, super models everywhere, street dudes dikkriding him and on.

Now Envy is the leader of the leading urban show in the nation, rich (maybe even richer than Dame) and he probably think Envy thinks he's a bigger baller than Dame is.
Probably has Dame feeling salty as fukk

lol that definitely puts things into perspective a little bit

Dame is lowkey tryna overcompensate for his failed business ventures and what-not.

'B-b-but at least imma boss:troll: You don't own your own radio station '

I get what he's saying about ownership and passing things down to your children

but if somebody else is getting money and got it by "moving up the ranks" and making a name for themselves, why knock em?

Plus He just came off like a complete ass hole IMO.

and what? Kanye makes good music so I'm not pressed on his fukked up views on a lot of things. I'm entertained by his music. Dame hasn't done anything relevant in damn near 2 decades. When Ye says dumb shyt I call it out too but at least he's relevant.

edit: Share with me these 'life jewels' Dame dropped I might of been too busy laughing at him or shaking my head at his hypocrisy to catch them all.

I couldn't has said it any better than this article right here http://allhiphop.com/2015/03/15/thank-you-dame-dash/?utm_source=twitterfeed&utm_medium=twitter

get some business about yourself young man
