There are people who owe a lot of their earlier successes to Dame, but he has this reputation of burning those bridges due to various reasons. Beanie Sigel is the perfect example, yet even he a few years later goes at Dame for owing him money. Stalley & Curren$y made their issues known with Dame - it went back to money. His issues with Capo were also about money.

He cashed out on Rachel Roy, but arguably wasted money on the other pet projects that could've been used to reinvest back in Rocawear or OTHER artists, like the 1000s he signed at Roc-A-Fella AND Roc Music before the split. It's also arguably why the label only sold for what it did at the end.

Honestly, DD172 should've been bigger than it was, but Dame couldn't help himself.

Dame had his own Netflix alternative (Dash TV or whatever). What happened to that? Also, he was doing something about health, education, all that stuff? Where'd all that go? The real reason is his stubbornness to partner with anyone and the bridges he burnt because he refused to partner with bigger people.

Even though Hov wasn't involved, (OG Juan put it together) it was clear that there was a concerted effort to make sure Dame's picture wasn't anywhere to be found in that library. That was literally the most amazing thing about that exhibit to me. That had to be hard as hell to do.
