What did that whole thing bring in profit-wise, what $5 or $10 million, being super generous? And that's supposedly the holy grail of "real hip hop heads, yo".
It's not about what the jerk off public says they care about on free message boards, it's about how much of their budget is spent on what they say they care about. The only ppl who give a shyt about Reasonable Doubt are
broke ass fans on message boards.
Face it brehs, to make real money off ur catalogue u have to have Cac fans willing to kill their own mother to spend their life savings to purchase memorabilia from the tour alone.
Hip hop makes their money off passive suburban white teenage fans. It's completely disposable as a financial commodity. Here's a way to judge possible returns on a nostalgic enterprise like this when people start circle jerking:
Look at the biggest tours and albums within a 3 year span proceeding and preceding your chosen rap project. Look at their total receipts from album sales and touring then compare those numbers to ur beloved rap project's #'s.
Now you tell me if you're gonna quit YOUR job on a gamble to get invest0rs to put together an anniversary campaign for your beloved project that doesn't have the marketing power legacy wise to even justify a meeting with a potential financier.
Cacz were retiring and putting kids thru college based on the fukking Eagles reuniting 20 years ago. Ain't nobody bout to create wealth on these bullshyt catalogues. Just enjoy the music for it's nostalgic qualities and KIM, srsly brehs.

Exactly! Don't forget television... Radio.... samples...interpolations, covers...touring... etc.. Reasonable Doubt is one of the most famous, influential and top selling artists of all time's FIRST album (Which some consider his best).. Regarded in several publications, blogs, websites, polls as a Classic album.. Trust me, that album has generated, and continues to generate millions.. In the future, it will be worth ALOT MORE!
