Jay has repeatedly said that RD is the album that means the most to him, I'm Dame could just sell the masters to him at a high price and retire

but I thought Jay and Dame were the head of Rocefella, why don't they both own it?

Rocafella or Reasonable Doubt masters? As for the former, they all sold their remaining percentage of it to Def Jam when they first split up, then Def Jam gave it back to Jay, as one of the terms for him taking the Def Jam President/CEO job.

As for latter, they all (Jay, Dame, and Biggs) own it together equally.

dame and biggs deserve their 2/3rd ownership. they backed jay financially and made moves on his behalf, i aint mad at them holding onto it plus jay still got BP and Black Album as legacy releases. jay has 3 legacy albums, RD, BP and BA. he own 2 and co owns the 3rd.

Nah, he still co-owns 1/3 of it along with Dame and Biggs. He is the sole owner of the rest of his albums though.

I don't even think Dame is dissing Jay here.

imagine if dame and biggs sold their 2/3rds to drake??:lolbron:

drake dont have the paper though so :whew:

Who said anything else?
U did when u claimed RD is Jay's least valuable album because of its publishing rights worth u clown.

Even within this POV youre wrong- RD is prob still selling more copies than Kingdom Come, but thats still missing the more important point

Do u even listen to Jay's music? He has spoken on this numerous times :snoop:

Least valuable in terms of money you fukking airhead, is this the court of law? Use some common sense fukking geek.

As I said it's about hits.
Do you think those k's sold per years means shyt to Jay?
According to Jay or someone RD has a revenue of 100k(probably exaggerated) per year, so say Dame and them get 30k, that's nice but it's still nothing compared to The hard knock life song or ESOM, etc.

It's about music being used in commecials, movies, video games and on.
That's why one can understand why labels keep on spending so much money on singles for the pop artists.

Why do yo think they are only mentioning the singles from the albums and not the classic tracks?

Like I said clown, theres things in life worth more than money

The ability to own the masters of the album that launched your career and by your own ranking is your best album seems to me like one of those fukking things.

I don't give a fukk about this other shyt youre talking about.

SOHH ICEY N.O.
I kinda get it, but I don't. It's about artistry? Sentimental?

Any ole way...speakin of Jackson - who owns the Beatles catalogue now? And also, side question, dem 4 cacs don't seem stupid, especially Paul McCartney...so how the fukk did they come up with an idea to sell their catalogue?

:why:
I read somewhere that Paul told mj how much it was worth and he was going to buy it and mj went and brought it before he could

It's probably nice but I don't know what the fukk does have to do with value.
If you are talking about his motherfukking feelings, fine, I don't know Jay so I don't know nor care about his feelings as certain fukkboys seem to do.

I'm talking about the monetary value of his catalog.
Don't ever quote me and assume that I'm talking about a celebrities feelings again :scust:.

Strategy, music, money, sports and whatever go ahead. But to make the assumption that valuation when we are talking about Publishing means "sentimental value", fukk his sentiments.

There are other definitions of value besides monetary value

And even within the context of monetary value RD is far from Jay's least valuable album royalty wise.

I said probably, I believe that it's the second least valuable after Vol.1.
One could discuss AG as well.

All the others have a couple hits.

Big songs, that's where it's at.

After multiple explanations - I still don't get it. I think it's a giant, massive fraud.

I know the world is a big place, but to think that there are people, in 2015. paying money to be able to legally reproduce any of the songs off of that overhyped album - it's beyond me.

Like - where? Excluding the US. You think that there are more than 5 people right now in South America who care about RD (other than going to torrents to skim-listen to it or whatever). Is it poppin in China maybe?

But yeah - good idea for Dame, sell the ownership to Jay in exchange for a tooth - but wait there's more - a golden, Rocafella logo engraved, tooth!

Do it Dame! Do it and then do a 20 minute YouTube interview about it with some bum ass dude who'll suck your dikk and go "aw shyt aaaww shyt" while you explain the insane entrepreneurial / hustlenomics behind your rights for tooth deal with Jay.

:mjlol:
