Why would Jay even care like that?
He's in a total different category than Nas.
Nas is in that loveable underdog lane....Jay already won.
He doesnt need anymore money...how would owning 100% of the RL masters change his life?
He can still perform the songs.

iT'S not about money here. It's about legacy and art. Nas >>> Jay.

Nas won.

Ya didn't explain it you didn't dumb it down enough for me woadie.

Again. It's 2015 now, and the album is from 1973. Who does

a) buy
b) spin
c) commercially exploit in any other way

that album? And how many dollas is Camel really missing out on a fukkin anniversary? 27?

If the anniversary is such a big deal, you best believe Snake Camel (what an amazing half mammal species) will wither befriend Dusko (seems too obvious, but Dusko missin a tooth so let's not get too surprised if that happens) or we'll read about Dusko suddenly endin up in a ditch in a freak acciden (breaks on his bicycle cut off or some shyt).

Lmao

SINY!!
doesn't Jay want sole ownership of that album though ?
i think it was said or Jay might have even mentioned it himself that he offered Dame and Biggs a bunch of shyt, i think including Rocawear etc for the sole ownership of RD and they said nope.

least valuable in terms of making money off of it but it's priceless to them.

I believe Jay offered him a share of publishing for some his other albums, just to have sole ownership of RD. Sometime after being appointed Def Jam president (remember the Rocabella name was "sold" to DJ, they absorbed the acts left on the label, Dame & Biggs were outed all together while Jay was able to keep the roster).....Jay was asked about Reasonable Doubt and referred to it as his "baby", made a very very generous offer and was rebuffed by Dame who was understandably upset about being pushed out.

Reasonable Doubt means more to Jay then the rest of his entire catalogue and not having ownership of is bothers him a great deal to this day even if he doesn't discuss it anymore.

SMH @ any of yall thinkin CamL actually thinks about that album.

I'm obviously Team anti-CamL but I don't believe those sappy "I want my baby first album back" bullshyt stories. Jigga ain't that type of dude. He married a woman because she had BK initials for god sakes, the fukk he thinks about getting "ownership" of his derelict album?

Jay only offered them them the Rocafella label, which initially Dame was gonna take, but Biggs said no, so in turn, Dame did the same.
