SMH @ any of yall thinkin CamL actually thinks about that album.

I'm obviously Team anti-CamL but I don't believe those sappy "I want my baby first album back" bullshyt stories. Jigga ain't that type of dude. He married a woman because she had BK initials for god sakes, the fukk he thinks about getting "ownership" of his derelict album?

The 20th anniversary of Reasonable Doubt is not an event like Illmatic. not even close :camby:
That will always burn Jay Z up about NaS. Did anyone notice at the ten year mark?

yes as @Cloud McFly stated there was a dope 10 year anni concert at radio city music hall that sold out in TWO minutes

while nas fresh off his 20 year anni of illmatic gets a 30 second spot with christina aguilera at the nba all star game pre-show :laff:

i'm positive hov will do something epic next year for the 20th

Jay only offered them them the Rocafella label, which initially Dame was gonna take, but Biggs said no, so in turn, Dame did the same.

Maybe as a kind gesture Dame and Biggs will hand over Reasonable Doubt to Jay for the 20th:mjcry:

Niccas in here are dumb as chit...

If you own something, people are gonna have to see you if they want anything to do with it.

Muthafuccin' Skee-Lo was on the radio talmbat how he still eatin' off the publishing for "I Wish",
and that was the only song he made that most anyone gives a damn about 20 years ago.

Theres more to life than money

This "money over everything" mentality is why Jay has been in a musical freefall for nearly 15 years. Hes been falling off so long hes in orbit
Who said anything else? I don't know what the fukk you are talking about.
Did you act like you misunderstood me just to say that shyt you fukking birdbrain.

Enlighten me brehs.

How the fukk does Dusko Toothington profit from a fukkin 40 year old album? Who the fukk buys or bumps Reasonable Doubt in 2015.? Answers. :leostare:

It's more or less like art. the value is in the ownership. The masters in a way represent the original painting

Nobody is still buying Beatles albums, but their catalog was still worth an insane amount and that's why MJ bought it and then never sold it.

I kinda get it, but I don't. It's about artistry? Sentimental?

Any ole way...speakin of Jackson - who owns the Beatles catalogue now? And also, side question, dem 4 cacs don't seem stupid, especially Paul McCartney...so how the fukk did they come up with an idea to sell their catalogue?

:why:

Jay has repeatedly said that RD is the album that means the most to him, I'm Dame could just sell the masters to him at a high price and retire

but I thought Jay and Dame were the head of Rocefella, why don't they both own it?

I don't know if they owned it or their label owned it at the time MJ bought it. I'd imagine MJ bought it from the label.

And alot of the value is based on potential money. Movies, commercials, re-makes, samples etc

I'm saying in the sense that they've released and re-released every album on itunes etc., so everything is pretty much out there in high quality.

i did a quick search and 2 of their greatest hits albums are in the top 1000 on amazon for physical sales

even their #1s album is currently 96 on the itunes top 100 charts
