So Lillard was behind the scenes making moves. Basically he helped put the nail in the coffin for Neil.
Now that Olshey is out of the paint, I'm guessing that they'll reconsider that Simmons offer even if it means giving up those multiple picks/swaps in the process. Portland is one of those desperate teams that I mention that would up their offering price to get Simmons in order to save their season and calm fans frustrations.

Dame is a phony for real. When the Wolves hired Finch mid season he was complaining a fukk ton about them not giving the job to Vanterpool. Then when it was time for the Blazers to hire a coach Vanterpool wasn’t even on the list of coaches he wanted to hire. It's going to be hard to flip Nurk and Covington considering the fact that they are on expiring deals. Those players aren't in high demand like that compared to a player say like Thaddeus Young who teams would be willing to part with a pick or two for a half season rental.
