Dame Lillard wants to play with Ben Simmons, Jalen Brown, or Aaron Gordon

Lilllard annoying as hell

Chauncey also can't call out the team every loss. I don't know how many times he called them soft this season, of course players are gonna feel some type of way

Given Chauncey's pedigree that's all validated, what can Lillard and Co actually debate him about basketball wise. Those dudes haven't won shyt:mjlol:. Thick skin is a rarity these days:scust:

i think going into the season people would say blazers were a good organization with a top 10 player in dame. i haven't followed this story too closely so not sure when dame flipped but i remember dame making a post about wanting to stay with the team and earn a ring with the blazers.

looking back at it the cavs job might have been the one to take. they have a lot of young talent that play hard.

Nahhhh all off-season long after their playoff lose Dame threw subliminals and griped to only switch it up and then blame us for taking what he said serious. Couple that with the fact that Olshey hit the :gucci: when asked about making changes to the team insisting that they could win with what they had, it was clear that Billups should have steered clear of that job.

Man, please. You can’t win a title with Dame as your number one.
If built around the right way the blazers can compete for a championship. Dame has never played with another elite star player.

I don’t do that whole win a championship by yourself argument. You need other big stars around you. And the right type of role players too which he hasnt had..

Cleveland won a championship with Kyrie as a number one option or at worst 1B. It’s all about how construct a team around your best player.

Portland FO never took that leap/risk to build around Dame. Dame has never played next to another. Top 25 player during his prime

This is on Stotts for creating a country club culture and now that Chauncey is trying to change it he’s on the receiving end of the backlash. I would side with the coach here and make some personnel changes.

Yeah honestly what's the point of keeping Dame around? Already on the wrong side of 30, showing steep signs of decline this year and obviously planting stories in the media. Might as well just start over instead of staying on the treadmill and losing more picks and assets to build around Dame

Dame isn’t good enough to win a title. You would need another number one next to him so it could be a 1a/1b Situation. He isn’t as great of a shooter as his hype, his ball handling isn’t elite, his scoring has dipped as refs are allowing more contact and he doesn’t defend.

None of this is the leader of a title team player that people want to believe. It’s hard as fukk to do that with a 6 feet tall guard.

And Kyrie needed LeBron.

The other thing is he is getting the super max so that limits a lot of their cap space.

Hell, I don’t think I’ve even heard one story about his dealings that even started the investigation in the first place. They mentioned the investigation and then fired him without saying what they ever found.

It’s no wonder that other GMs and FO people were up in arms about it and rightfully so.
Yeah they literally used some bs, that happens at people 90% of companies.

Not saying it was right. But essentially everyone says Neil was fired because he was an a$$hole. The only proof people point to is look at how arrogant his interactions are during press releases.:mjlol:

But Portland media, already figured out Lillard was pulling strings behind the picture. He was practicing at the "Moda" center, instead of the practice facility which is closer to his home.

How long before the McCollum/Simmons deal is made?

Fam, people's reading comprehension is shyt on this site. And this is the Blazers' fault for not properly retooling the roster the past couple of summers.
We had GM who didn't want to break up CJ and Dame, when the writing has been on the walls for years.

IDK how many times I gotta see Dame and CJ get picked and rolled onto a wing that is 6'8, with a 7+ foot wing span that just shoots over them.

They've been a defensive liability for the longest.

A deal will probably done by the deadline, but some deal is probably going come between now and Christmas. The team needs a shake up bad, after that loss on Saturday.

CJ, Cov and Nurk all looked out of it. And that was their time to step up, with Dame out. CJ couldn't lead, Nurk couldn't dominate, and Cov was just there.

This is why being an NBA GM is so hard. I wouldn’t max any 6’0 guard no matter who. You just can’t. But teams box themselves in. Look at Ja Morant. Everyone loves that guy but I’m not maxing him fukk that :hubie:

My opinion is they should treat these 6’0 guards like how the NFL treats RBs. What’s the point of drafting these midgets in the lottery when they can’t lead you to a title?

We have to wait and see on Morant but he has shown a willingness to defend. If anything, you have to be concern about injuries with him.

CP3 is 6’0
And he had to play for teams as the 1a/b player to be a serious title contender. Steph is an anomaly, but it’s hard as fukk to do that.
