I don’t care about him winning I’m looking at it from a team building perspective that team isn’t going to flip into a contender as long as he is there. So either be sucks it up (pause) and understands he won’t win a ring or even be a real playoff competitor going forward or they need to move him. They are clearly in one of the worst places to be too good to pick In the top 4 and too bad to actually compete.
If I were the blazers GM I’d let him know we are rebuilding and that the emphasis is on the younger players and to have his agent start working the back channels and I’ll start taking calls.

It's the organization's decision to sit him out. Did y'all not see the same thing was said a week ago? He's also dealing with a calf injury. Why play him in meaningless games and risk a torn ACL or Achilles?

From a GM perspective if your best player is a point guard you just out to sell tickets and merch. He did a lot of that so both of y'all won. Winning a championship should never be the realistic goal. He makes so much money now that he can't even be traded to a contender. So everybody can just ride it out and cash checks till the end of his deal
