Brehs I had my meeting actually went pretty good, I'm guaranteed a job I have 6 to choose from have until oct 29
Same salary same benefits

But I'm pondering the severance package is 4 weeks for every year and I've been there for 5, plus my year end bonus and two weeks vacation I haven't used yet

I could basically take the severance package and do what I always wanted to do in my life.

That's why its important to become a business owner not an employee...its scary how often I am hearing this exact same story by several friends as of recently. Sad thing is they usually give you the option of a shiity position with the hopes you'll leave.

After the market practically forced me back into working a few years ago...I've honestly become comfortable with a steady pay check and I have been reluctant about opening my own company...because the way things were before the uncertainties of income with such hard wirk...but shiit I see I really can't depend on any company...at least I know what's truly going on with my own business...

Hang in there love...I would keep my options open though

What I'm trying to do is finding a job by January

Taking the severance package and beat the system.

Technically my job is terminated as of dec 31, and y new one if I stay would begin the following week.

Some of y coworkers are taking the package but they have been here 25 years two years of salary

I'd get twenty weeks

4 weeks for every year work is not bad at all! Do they terminate it if you get a new job before the severance is up though?

That + the unpaid vac/year end bonus That is something to consider, if you have a plan of course.
