Childish Gambino's "Awaken, My Love!" moved an impressive 101k equivalent units.

Chance The Rapper scooped up 38,000 equivalents (stream only) for Coloring Book.

Tech N9ne's The Storm's muscled up 37k equivalents.

These dudes make literally pennies off of streams. They're giving out gold and platinum plaques now for streams because albums barely get to 500K now. It's a joke.

As much rappers I've seen making money while being unsigned, make me happy that hip-hop is going to be alright.

Social media era killed the hip-hop record labels.

I'm just happy rappers are making money.

Even dudes who do Nerdcore hip-hop are making money from shows.
