but how did he NOT see the car sitting there when he's driving and can see what's in front of him, dude was speeding and didnt even notice the huge chunk of mass just sitting there???:what: poor ass reaction time speeding like an a$$hole... even on the darkest parts of the GCP you notice something sitting in the middle of the damned expressway... :what:

it happens man. :manny: you notice most of the cars were able to avoid it, even those who saw it late? i'm not saying you're wrong. but unfortunately, you only need one person to overlook the signs for this to occur, and human errors happen all the time.

Why the hell would you not put on your hazards? :gucci: I mean, even for something as trivial as a tire change I'd have them on. Let alone a whole ass entire accident. I don't understand it. Not excusing the dimly lit highway though. It's why I hated driving in NC. Driving on major fukking freeways was so stressful when I lived there. And this was in metros like Charlotte and Raleigh-Durham. And I hear it was because of complaints of light pollution or some shyt.

Your brain doesn't work like that.

When you're driving on a highway you subconsciously assume other objects are moving at a relative speed.

When you're driving 60+ mph you're brain will have to make abrupt adjustments to dodge the parked car that's supposed to be moving along with the other cars around you moving at the same relative speed

you’re grossly overestimating visibility on a dimly lit road at night.

I can’t believe dude at the beginning was nonchalantly walking around on an active freeway like that. He was grossly underestimating the danger he was in. :mindblown:

That was insane.

I don't even like changing a tire on the shoulder of a freeway and this dude is walking up and down active Lanes smh

I know a few people that don’t drive at night cause they say they can’t see that well.

i drive. but i definitely will take longer routes home if i know parts of the highway are poorly lit. or if all the truckers are out doing their graveyard shift runs.

driving on the highway between 2-5am, when all the big rigs are speeding can be scary as shyt. i haaaaaaaaaaaaaaaate that shyt.

Well you're probably more focused than the average driver since you do it for a living :yeshrug:

The real a$$hole is the kid that didn't make it to the shoulder

Some of y’all don’t drive the highway often and it shows. If you’ve been driving more than 10 min, you get intuned that nothing’s going to be stopped in front of you. On a dark highway, your headlights aren’t lighting that stuff up until the last min. This is a good example of why road flares are important.
