You're not seeing dark vehicles on a dimly lit road with any type of good range to react.. And if you're running with brights you're likely fukking up the driver in front of you.

If visibility is that bad you're not suppose to be speeding

Y’all underestimate how many people are driving and looking at their phones while doing 80mph on the highway. I look over at people from time to time while driving and it’s at least 7/10 texting with their head literally down looking at the phone. Young women especially.

No excuse only another shytty driver would give some bullshyt reason for not looking ahead. I lived in Dago for 18 damn years and everybody drives way too fast. These idiots weren’t paying attentionbut how did he NOT see the car sitting there when he's driving and can see what's in front of him, dude was speeding and didnt even notice the huge chunk of mass just sitting there???poor ass reaction time speeding like an a$$hole... even on the darkest parts of the GCP you notice something sitting in the middle of the damned expressway...

At 60mph, low beams cover 3.5 seconds ahead of you. That's not alot of time. The whole concept of the highway is that you're not gonna reasonably expect a random unlit mass just appearing. Yes there are bad drivers, this isn't an example of it.
In that 3.5 secs you have to think if to hit brakes which probably ain't gonna be enough time or hit and swerve when there can be someone right next to you etc.
If it was that dark out there the camera wouldn't be able to record it so clearly, because camera's need light

If you can't evade something directly in front of going 60 mphs hour you're not paying attention, objects don't just magically appear on the road 3 seconds in front of you, like I said you can't drive
I drove through blizzards where I literally couldn't see shyt, I know what poor visibility is, like I said you, and people like should not be near motor vehicles at all, you don't have the mentality to control a vehicle
There's no reason not to see a car directly in front of you before you get right up on it
even if another car is blocking your view of the accident you're suppose at a distance where you can slow down or move out the way people drive to close to other cars

The same thing almost happened to me although. I would have been killed.
I use to take I-20 to work every morning to my old job. Well on this particular morning visibility was low, it was raining, and it was still dark outside at like 5:30 AM in the morning and some guy had broken down in the passing lane on I-20. I noticed it as I got within a few thousand feet of it and slowed down but there were other cars passing me in the slower traffic right hand lane so I was unable to get over.
I finally got a chance to get over and I did; however, what I did not notice is the 18 wheeler driving down the interstate at a high rate of speed behind me, because he didn’t see the accident until he was on top of it because visibility was low. By the time I realized it he nearly rear ended me with a full load behind him, this dude engaged his jake brakes, hit the shoulder and literally swung around my truck coming within inches while doing at least 60 miles an hour. I’m surprised the load didn’t jacknife on him.
Dude was so shook up he stopped his 18 wheeler, I started to stop and thank him for saving my life but I kept going because road conditions were treacherous and it was dangerous to get out of my vehicle near the interstate.

Nah the first car crashing was due to not paying attention. Everyone else I understand..,it’s dark & no hazard or any type of lights on. Which is why you get everybody swerving at the last minute
