I feel bad for home he seems like a hard working black man. Hopefully Baylor let him continue his education

Really sucks for breh.

I'm honestly confused that they just found it this late, conditions like Marfans and Ehlers Danlos are usually found early in life. Not sure if it was a good or bad thing for him, he got to spend most of his life playing a game he loved, but he had it taken away from him before he got to play at the highest level. I'm so glad he's trying to keep it positive, seems like he'll bounce back in some capaicty.

So slim cant really do anything athletic anymore, can he? Even on his own?

This is horrible but I am glad Baylor will take care of him. Let him go back to school and give him any academic assistance he needs. Also let him coach too. This is terrible.

Its a good idea for people with Marfans not to exert themselves physically. Basically he doesn't make enough a certain kind of collagen, which is a type of connective tissue that is important in maintaining the integrity of blood vessels among other things. Because he's deficient in connective tissue it makes him prone to excessively bleeding (diminished wound healing), blood vessel dissection, and aneurysm. The aorta is the biggest blood vessel we have, so if he has an aortic dissection or aneurysm he's fukked, so its best for him to chill.

I'm fearing ESPN is gonna make a piece about this, I don't want to watch it.

just give that kid something nice for him,his family and friends

I had my suspicions given his general build, and especially given the eye problems. I'd hoped I'd be wrong, though. How was this not discovered/diagnosed much earlier?

Unfortunate that this happened some four days before the draft, but it's dang sure preferable to collapsing on some court somewhere. Wishing the best for dude going forward.
