TDE is basically done. Terrible management. I just don't understand why they want all their artists to act like Kendrick in terms of not releasing music often, barely doing features, etc. That works for Kendrick because he's one of the top three rappers out right now. It doesn't work to have someone like Isiah Rashad not release anything for more than a year. When you're a new artist trying to make a name for himself you need to release music. You can't drop an album 20+ months after your debut mixtape and think everything is gonna be fine.

Same with Q.. Dude had a big hit with Studio but has been silent since then. No freestyles or soundcloud tracks, nothing. Then he throws out Groovy Tony which is cool but nothing amazing. Then he throws out That Part which is whatever. So they just gonna release his album without a decent radio single? Again, that works for Kendrick but not a (talented) weed carrier.

BTW notice how they have a trainwreck going in terms of release schedules? Rashad got a couple songs released, then all of a sudden Kendrick hit with the surprise album. Then Q came with his two singles. Then they release a SZA remix. I don't get why they don't let their artists breath. Rashad should have been out late last year or early this year.

TDE went from the new wave to a joke all cause their ceo dont know how to run a label:pacspit:

Stop bytching on twitter and start putting out your artist's albums, it aint that complicated:rudy:

You know, it's moments like these when you really appreciate forums because the fans realize and see things that artists and labels dont.

More labels and artists should at least check out the message boards because at times the boards could teach them a thing or two.

Keep it real with yourselves - TDE haven't released anything amazing. EVER. That's why you're here rambling about release schedules and flooding the streets with music. Because it's just one big boy band who are selling image, not MUSIC.

If you're really dope, you'll have a strong core that'll always check for you. TDE's music doesn't resonate like that. The Coli pretended "Groovy Tony" was hot but in the real world, no one gave a fukk.

Q is an original artist, trying to do anything with him will fail. Him just doing himself is the obvious win.

And I really don't feel like he's the "big single" release type of dude. He drops dope songs and then people buy the album.

The momentum TDE had from 2012-14 has declined alot....I can't even put it on the artists when they don't have much freedom to release music whenever they want. TDE pre-GKMC was dropping heat left & right, and everything was coming along organically which had the internet buzzing.

They went from being the Fantastic 4 to Kendrick Lamar & The Black Hippies in a sense. Schoolboy Q had his fair share of success too, but even he's been effected by poor management. Why spend so much time & energy trying to get sales off street single that may end up becoming a bonus track anyway? Groovy Tony is a cool song but it was never gonna set the world on fire. That shyt was for the hardcore TDE fans.

This abstract formula they got going over there....I don't understand it. Im not saying they should drop 100 mixtapes/albums every year and shyt like No Limit did, but they need to start flooding the game with all kinds of new music. I like how Future does things....He promotes his shyt on instagram/twitter, puts it out with no management team interfering and lets the people decide whats the hottest records and he makes them the singles. I feel thats what TDE should be doing with their artists.

The only reason this works for kendrick is because they're willing to put all their marketting money behind him. Without he'll suffer the same fate as his comrades

But deep down, that is kinda what y'all want. TDE isn't interested in mass producing free music. However, the buying public isn't blindly gonna support the rest of TDE because they support Kendrick. On that front, the rest gotta be more active. Q was more active leading up to Oxymoron being on other people's songs like A$AP Rocky and Macklemore than he is now. SZA's kinda trying, but the rest of them are too reclusive to make it that way.
