I would have done basically any combo of players not named Jimmy & two 1sts for Boogie smh

but from what Im reading, the Kings think they got a star in Buddy Hield :skip:

are you kidding me? AD strength is exactly playing in the post and shooting mid rangers. Gentry told AD to start shooting threes. Now they have Boogie who can hit those shots while AD will be getting that work done with his deadly mid ranger and playing in the post too.

this duo is a perfect fit.

I am reading this trade again and this is actually one of the biggest robbery of a trades ever. They gave trash ass buddy hield + mid 1st round pick :dead: they need to quarantine kings franchise

On paper, they should fit well but will either of them be willing to sacrifice some part of their game for the team's success? One will be chasing speedy guards in the perimeter and one must anchor in the low post. I saw many lapses from Boogie, especially on D.

yes they can both co-exist, both can shoot from the 3pt line, punish teams in the paint, shoot mid rangers. Easily. All they have to do is sign some defensive wings. This team just got a superstar offensive juggernaut lol

this trade basically saved new orleans franchise

buddy fukking hield and a mid 1st round pick :dead:

Danny Ainge has rebuilt the Celtics quicker than anyone imagined, and has a treasure chest full of draft picks and young players. Sure......let's fire Danny Ainge. :snoop:

Young players who are nowhere near as good as he or the Celtics fanbase think they are

Defensive wing alone won't win them games. They can put up monstrous stats and still lose if they play an undisciplined brand of basketball. Bigs today are more valued for defensive purposes, especially the versatile ones. Even though both are capable, Im not sure if either of them are commited on busting their asses on the defensive end. You can't completely rely on defensive wings to stop teams, especially on switches and bigs who can shoot outside.

Teams like the Warriors are successful because they have Draymond Green who's not only providing space, he also single-handedly anchors their D. He chase down guards in the perimeter and defend in the post. No team wins a playoff series with offense alone.

Here is an example:

Cousins get burned in the perimeter by a big who can shoot outside and drive to the rim.

Comparing Boogie with them two:patrice:

Spread the floor with Andre Drummond and Greg Monroe brehs:skip:

Greg Monroe hasn't shoot a 3 his whole career and Andre Drummond only got some buzzer beating bank shot 3 in his career

While Boogie averaging 2 3-pointers a game on 35% shooting
I'm saying that Davis/Cousins spread the floor while Drummond/Monroe were the exact opposite . I'm just not sold on it working because it seems like both need the ball in extended spots to operate well.

We are 37-20. Perfect time to fire the GM because he refuses to trade for a player who won't agree to re-sign with any team he is traded to.

Couldn't care less about the record, the Celtics are probably the biggest pretenders in the league. They are severely flawed and are going to get exposed in the playoffs, you can book that.

So gettin cousins, givin up other key players and pairin' him with a guy he already played with unsuccesfully, is gonna somehow make the cavs worried?? Stop with the dramatic dumb shyt!

Danny is the most overrated GM in the league. Not pulling the trigger on Cousins or even considering it is fukking mind blowing.

As a Lakers fan, I'm not mad.
Preach ! Only thing that saved Danny was the Garnett and ray Allen deal, other than that he has been garbage. Drafting Kelly over the Greek freak. Drafting Marcus Smart over Randle when we already had Avery Bradley Wasting last year's pick on jaylen brown, overpaying AL Hortford. I can go on and on

so your whole argument is that boogie cant play defense therefore this team is going to underachieve?

listen man, they just swapped buddy hield with demarcus fukking cousins

boogie is not al jefferson or greg monroe, he is far more talented and he now plays with elite defensive big who will cover his mistakes. A combination of those two is going to work well

the league requires three point shooters, pelicans right now have two elite bigs with 3pt shot

celtics have no defensive bigs and they are sitting at the #2 spot, raps had no defensive bigs until ibaka and they were doing well

lamarcus aint a great defender and kawhi does a lot of defensive help for him

pelicans will be fine, just sign some wings to chase them three point shooters down

What key players? Jaylen Brown? Terry Rozier? Washed up Amir Johnson?

They could've traded for Cousins and still had enough leftover to go after Butler or George. It's another missed opportunity, which has been a recurring theme for Ainge
