This album sucks. It's over for this guy. Shame he had something when he started.
I was sleeping on this like crazy until earlier this week when I was listening to "Combat".
Picked up the physical today off the strength of how good this is.
To me this is his strongest project and definitely the easiest to digest. Having Tip as exec was a genius move and he made sure the whole thing bumped and there was no wierd filler.
The length is great as you can listen to the full album fairly easily and it makes you want to play the whole thing again.
Hopefully we get more Danny x Tip in the future.

Listened again and I still like it. Some of the material isn't super memorable lyrically. His pen game was much stronger on XXX and the first half of Old.
He seems like he comfortable and just wanted to make somethin easy to digest.
The occassional weirdness is kinda what makes him different. I don't like when he overdoes the high pitch voices and sometimes the beats be kinda avant garde for its own sake on some projects(Atrocity especially) but I can't say this is his best project unless you are a pretty strict boom bap type cat.

He gets disrespected on coli bc of his old image and the fact that white ppl love him plus the hi pitch voice on som ed material runs some the wrong way
Ppl complain about rappers having limited lyrical content but DB easily has the most varied content but gets no credit

He talks bout drugs the uncomfortable and too honest way people claim Future does and I love Future lmao and he has such an appreciation and love for both the old school and new, Atrocity Exhibition will be remembered in time I used to be so-so on it when it first dropped but since last year it finally clicked for me
