Was waiting to hear the reviews. I like Danny Brown but I don't fukk with his projects to the level that most people I know who like Danny do. All his projects from XXX onwards have been all right to me, nothing phenomenal.

This will be my first ever listen to a Danny Brown's project... shyt is dope. Danny floats on a LOT of this shyt and the music backing him fits very well. Don't know about album of the year, but its very well done.

Yea, I remember Danny was on live a while back and rapped the og verses over the original intended beat prod by Paul White. I regret not recording that smh. shyt sounded like an Seinfeld episode if that makes sense?

Not a huge Danny fan but this album is fire. The production sounds like some old wu tang / tribe / Mobb deep shyt . His flows are up to par too but the subject matter on some of these is mad questionable. Some of this nikka raps sound like the perspective of a homeless crackhead . Album still fire tho not sure how that is

I gotta admit, I'm kinda of torn about his new direction. His last album sounded like the drug induced soundtrack to a paranoid fever nightmare on the verge of an overdose.. and I loved it. I'm glad Danny got his life in order, but the singles i've heard so far have left me kind of... unmoved. Plus his new Theo Huxtable makeover seems contrived as fukk.. like some sort of media grooming.

I feel you on this. But Danny is that dude. He put his work in over a decade hopefully this gets him a bigger audience or a bigger bag he deserves it. I want to see him win.

Lol I was trying to remember what song that was. Danny always raps like this. And it’s great. I accidentally thought it was on “greatest rapper ever” and remembered one of my favorite lines from him

I'm ready to say this is better than XXX. More consistent. XXX might have a couple tracks that are higher highs (specifically the final track) but overall this is Danny's best album. I've been saying XXX is a classic album for awhile and I maintain that position. Is this album classic? I don't know. We'll see.

Nah breh. XXX was on some other level lyrically. Even 1st half of Old is better. The new album is really good but it's more on the level of The Hybrid which I love
