Where do you think all these jokes come from then? Dudes joke, but these jokes have to be rooted in some type of legitimate feelings. Even on here I see dudes passively talking about how lighter complected guys get all the girls.

That sucks. I also remember the African kids getting shyt on in middle school by AA blacks. It sucks the way we treat each other some times. I hate that.
Do you think this is because brown skinned dudes felt the need to distance themselves from dark skinned dudes more than light skinned guys? I could see that being a reason because some brown skinned people are so borderline dark skinned.

I think so. Darksin men rag on lightskin men for no reason. p*ssy, soft, fakkit, bytch and all they saw was his face.
I was in the Booth yesterday and there was a thread about pdidy smaking up drake. The lightskin bashing was crazy sick. They were hype that diddy smacked drake purely because drake was lightskin. Thats when i realized that darkskin men arent as confident as they try to seem like they are.

Never. I spent my developmental years in a afrocentric private school. It was like Black history day once a month. Learn about african nations, black inventors, positive black shyt, etc. I was in so deep I didnt realize there was different kinds of Black people, I thought we were all the same

i mean yea, i was harassed daily bout being darkskin and it left me traumatized but i wasn't jealous of no lightbrite nikkas. I knew it was only jokes n shyt, n only ignorant people wld clown someone's skin tone

Yeah I see shyt like that all the time. The name calling wasn't as bad when I was in middle school because we weren't totally racially aware yet, but nowadays you see it all the time. Again, I know they're just jokes but often times when dudes joke theres some passive aggressive message we're really trying to say with out really saying it.
Maybe from women, but from one another theres definitely some animosity. I've been in situations where you can feel it. Look at Charlemagne and DJ Envy. Thats the type of back and forth I'm talking about. You can't tell me underneath all those jokes there isn't some real hidden pain.

Honestly down here in Louisiana, I think good looking athletic dark brothers are eating better than Lightskin, whites and however.
There's a serious complex down here, a lot of the dark girls want lighter dudes and a lot of the creole and light chicks love chocolate. There are some creole families that light to keep it light, but those creole girls come to the hood and fall in love.
