so in other words we're gonna sign the guys who want the most money? We didn't wanna pay a top 3 Jet of all-time, but we'll gladly overpay some free agent that's a free agent for a reason?

We're gonna back up the Brinks truck for Brian Cushing? Darren McFadden? who are these guys they need to overpay? The Jets have to get this done through the draft, and the problem is that Jets can't trust this organization to get it right when they haven't done so in so long.

Im not saying sign Holmes type deals you use free agency to add a few last pieces when your ready to compete you build your core through the draft

Izdik i can tell is already focusing on a qb for next year in the draft he knows if you get a franhcise qb you will be competitive nearly ever year

then he better get ready to lose 13-16 games next year.

This is gonna be a LONG rebuild, especially for a football team. Will he get an elite player with any of these picks? He's gonna have to hit a home run on nearly every pick he makes for this to work. What GM has that kind of precision, let alone a brand new one?

Truth be told, I'd feel a little better if our GM had a track record (and, you know, completely different scouts from the ones helping Tannenbaum), but it's all a big question mark still.

Do you really follow the nfl? all these teams are heavily flawed including teams that win it if you get youre franchise qb you suddnely go from bad to good inastntly ask the Colts and Redskins all teams who are heavily flawed but when you have a great qb in this offensive league it makes you good

This isnt the nba where rebuilds take years and you have to take small steps year to year before you compete how many times do you see teams come out of nowhere year to year to win it?

LOOK AT THAT TEAM ON PAPER! They're horrible!

How to get that franchise QB:

Lose 13-16 games next year. Simple as that. However, drafting one potentially elite QB doesn't change the fact that the team has holes EVERYWHERE. It's gonna take a couple of PERFECT drafts to get to that point, because there isn't a player on this roster that's close to being elite except for our center.

All this fukkery couldn't happen to a better team :obama:

I hope they fail this season and Rex is out the door mid-season.

Bucs needed this. with roddy and julio over there you have no chance of beating the falcons without some semblance of a secondary. Bucs trying to win those home games against falcons and saints. That usually does us in late in the season. If the run D stays like it was last season with the improved secondary, we might just :eat: a little bit....maybe

ATL…overly
If youre a Jets fan, I don't understand the logic in wanting to resign a CB to a 16 million per yr deal when you're gonna be a .500 level team or in rebuild mode anyway. This starts the rebuild officially now & you can tank/see who on your roster is really worth being there. This isn't nearly as bad as some NYJ fans are making it out to be
