I give Dre credit for G funk. I mean the rap version. G Funk primarily is classic R&B remixed. Above the Law was wack. They may have given him an idea and he ran with it, but their beats and rap were trash for the most part.

Dre just tried to get slick and take credit for everything after the first Chronic album. Dre essentially did like one or two songs on All Eyez on Me. NONE on Makaveli and these are both classics.

It's a shame though how ignorant nikkas can't be together. Imagine if Dre, Quik, Sam Sneed, and Daz made beats together? Nobody could've touched Death Row. But Suge Knight is the most ignorant bytch on the planet. Imagine is fagot ass p*ssy Puffy didn't set 2PAC up. Bad Boy would have been non existent.

You have no idea what the fukk you're talking about if you're trying to tell us ATL was wack

You've never heard Black Mafia Life or Uncle Sams Curse

ATL got classics

The nerve of this MF daz ..

He should be talking on how Quik ghosted and added to all his beats on ' all eyez on me ' ..how Nike dean did majority of his production work post death row

And how soopafly was playing keys and taking a lot of production himself in those early days

U wonder why daz aint produce nothin worth anything since.mike dean left him

His own cousin ain't want his beats lmao

THIS

Dazs best shyt has ALWAYS been mixed by someone else

Dogg Food- mixed by Dre
AEOM- mixed by Quik (and ghost produced)
Dillinger and Young Gotti- CO produced and mixed by Mike Dean

Daz's beats are more musical and have groovier basslines compared to Dre's shyt. More Jazz influenced. U could tell a Daz beat ESPECIALLY from that time frame that way. He was also versatile cause he could make some hard shyt like Ambitions as a Ridah.

exactly. Daz used ALOT of that artificial bass in his track and his joints were instantly recognizable. It's not like he has that funky bass that Quik is known for. On a Daz beat the bass is flat and drawn out. I'm sure Dre had his input on things, but Got My Mind Made Up was damn near a completed track well before Pac touched down, so what the fukk could Dre really add to it other than being nitpicky and fukking with the mix just for the hell of it.

Doesn't mean he didnt have help tho

Yes. He's a producer. Not an engineer. The Engineers job is to mix. There's producers who do both. But even those ones alot of the time will hire an engineer to come behind them. Being an engineer is more technical than musical. Thsee are facts. I know extremely dope engineers who barely have any musical skills. Dre is basically an engineer with musical skills.
