It’s all cap. One day imma go to DC and say I’m Alpos nephew.

btw is our city the only the city that doesn’t give a shyt about out of towners? When I see an out of towner in my city I can give to shyts about him/her and I notice even the biggest G’s up here don’t care about out of towners or want to do anything to them.

Then again I always say some parts of America have some truly ignorant folks compared to other parts. When I went to LA they seem to not car either.

What in the fukk are you talking bout. You really just say anything.

The majority off folks could care less about any off that stuff.

One thing I noticed about DC since moving back here from LA…nikkas is still posted up heavy outside the liquor store/carryouts/etc.

I was just riding down south capitol in Bellevue SE on Monday and thought it’s 40 deg and at least 30 nikkas posted up in the middle of the day. 24 hours later double shooting, one fatal in the same spot at the auto zone.

nikkas be posted up around MLK Ave and Malcolm X Ave as well (the same area where that little girl was shot) They usually sell drugs around those areas.

Man, that's all hoods tbh. I'm with the fam in Bmore and you see the same shyt.

Murder rates are up across the country due to inflation forcing more people into the drug game. I mean suddenly your job that was barely a livable wage isn't anymore :francis:

What?! The drug game isn't even really popping like that anymore. A lot of the big-time dealers in DC/DMV got locked up 5-6 years ago. Weed is legal in DC so cops aren't harassing folks for slinging dimes and 20s.

No one's really standing on corners. A lot of the drug game went digital.

Rising inflation is quite recent and the full effects won't really be seen until later in the year/early 2022.

Meanwhile nearby, PG County’s murder rate has risen to 119 last night. shyt’s like the mid to late 2000’s all over again :francis:

And up the road, Baltimore’s homicide rate recently hit 300.

The 90’s might be tryna make a comeback with this….Or at least the late 90’s.

Yea I've been hearing PG and Bmore have been very hot of late. Tbh, all over the country, something is up with crime.

ngl I've never really been but I thought gentrification was taking over much of DC. What's the story?
A lot of NorthEast DC and NorthWest have been gentrified. Especially around U-Street and 14th Street. Shaw, Petworth, Columbia Heights are other areas as well, especially Columbia Heights.

It's South East DC (across the Anacostia river) that's still kinda rough and even then, the gentrification is starting to creep up, especially close to the Metro stations e.g. Benning Road

Speaking of LA, the city is pushing 400, which is the highest it's seen since 2006. The county as a whole is over 700, which is high for the past decade and a half:francis:

Where It’s Not Safe
Why DC breh are grimey af, especially when they notice that you from NYC? IS IT BECAUSE OF ALPO?
Not only bc of Alpo but

Alotta NYers who come to DC whether for Howard homecoming or for some street shyt tend to be very sheisty, two faced & money hungry. And try to take over.I dont trust a NY dude legal or illegaly for nothing & thats a well earned reputation.

And just in general alotta Nyers are cocky & obnoxious so that rubs people the wrong way

That’s why yall get your tickets pulled regularly when down here. Otherwise if u cool we cool my mans from the BX been rotating in DC trenches since 01’ & he’s good money alotta NY heads can swim in the water without getting bit by a shark it’s all about how you carry yourself. DC goons do not take shyt off another city nor copy anything they do we are original.

Crime in the DMV is transient

Ofcourse there are hoods & pockets but realistically

You can get it anywhere

Seen someone get robbed at gunpoint in NW this summer in broad daylight in a residential block off a busy street

So yeah.
