Playing devil's advocate, if De La signed a contract agreeing to terms, has lots of samples that need to be cleared and didn't have huge commercial success, what leverage do they really have in this to expect any different?

To add on to this, just for debates sake....
When you produce products or services for the company you currently work for, if you are fired or leave, the business is not entitled to give you back what you made for them on the terms you agreed to. If you are an engineer for GM and you come up with a nice design then you leave, GM is not required to give you the original design or continue to pay you for said design. Not exactly apples to apples but you guys get the idea. They were workers. Creative ones but still workers.
With that said, their lawyers sucked and *all business* can be shady yet still protected by law. At least you can still support them by going to their shows.

And whether they like it or not, not having it on streaming services only hurts their visibility. They're missing money too, however small the percentage may be. They've basically become forgotten artists when they could benefit from the yearly anniversary promotions they're doing for old albums.
If they put it on streaming services and it did good numbers, they'd have leverage to renegotiate the terms.

They been in the game 30 years. How many times they re upped their contract? If you still getting played at that point it's on you.
