I hate to sound cold but I mean what leverage do they have to expect a deal in their favor? Especially with all of the uncleared samples they have. They've had 30 years to make something shake.
If anything, they should be happy the label is even coming with a deal because the label is the one losing money in this particular situation because at least De La can tour to make money off those records.

(91) Delasoul is dead---- 9 years left
(93) Buhloneemindstate ---- 11 years left
That makes them 60 when they start owning the original tapes again
Gotta just look at it as a retirement party, the controversy and streams will be a nice gift for them in 10 years when they really reissue shyt.
