I had to start all over again on epsiode 12 :mjcry: cause I can't find the cyptobiote and it's pretty much destroyed it anyway while raining.

People hyping up Death Stranding 2 and I saw 1 was free, so downloaded it.

Gameplay is confusing. Story is making sense

It's a very slow burn. Kojima went heavy on the atmospheric route building a world of scarcity, tension, and desperation.
How that lands with each player is going to vary but I'm not gonna fault anyone for flat out thinking it's whack.
I've said a bunch of times that a game has to be enjoyable as a game. You can't just expect everyone to ignore a boring game because of how great you might think the story is. As the resident Kojima stan here, this is a game I won't passionately argue over like I do with MGS.
That being said, once you get vehicles and weapons, the game is MUCH more digestible for a broader crowd. I'd say by chapter 5 the game really has what a lot of people want. It's that front section of the game with the walking from A to B that is gonna be tough for a lot of people to power through.
I really enjoy the atmosphere and the online functionality is brilliant. It's actually a great time to dive into the game because you're gonna have a TON of help that wasn't there when the game launched. A lot of the grind will be completed for you already by people online. A ton of roads will be there for you already and most paths from A to B clearly marked for you, not to mention all the items people leave in lockers for you. I'm really excited for part 2 but again, this isn't the game I'm gonna necessarily argue with anyone that says it isn't for them. It does have a really good story and a bunch of epic moments that are very unique. The game does pick up significantly and those deliveries actually do become quite fun with a bunch of enemy encounters and a bunch of tools at your disposal that are a blast to use.

I've been seeing ropes, lasders and markers I didn't set. I wasn't sure if the game did that if it was the online aspect of the game. That's very interesting.

I'm okay with the slog, I'm a huge Kojima fan too. It's just slower than normal. I'm still gonna give it a break because I don't feel right trying to finish this game before I do the MGS series.

Got Portable Ops, Peacewalker and Phantom Pain left.

So far I've beat MGS 1,2,3,4, Rising and Ground Zeroes.
