It's crazy to me how addictive this game gets after about chapter 3.
FedEx simulator really becomes amazing when you have an arsenal of tools at your disposal and danger is lurking every where.
I think where the game excels is in how fun it is to go over the route details and equip the gear you feel you need to approach the obstacles in terrain and enemies the way you see fit. When I first started playing I found the BTs incredibly obnoxious, later in the game it actually becomes thrilling to run into them because you have so many ways to fight back. No spoilers but just a hint...them dragging you around isn't always necessarily a bad thing.
Even with the right tools though, some of the BT emergences are scary. The baby crying, black tar everywhere, enormous creatures chasing you- it can be overwhelming in a frustrating but exciting way. I found no matter how bad things get, if you stop trying to scramble everywhere and just take a moment to check your surroundings you'll be fine. A lot of times, the answer out of the chaos is to simply walk away instead of running.
The game is simple and tedious on the surface but really is amazing in how many options you have to take on every mission.

What did you when the first BT attacked you? The mission where you gotta burn the presidents body. That shyt had me lost like where the hell am I supposed to go? I had to climb the mountain.

In the beginning crouching, moving slowly, and holding your breathe with R1 will be pretty much your most effective option. Trying to sprint or drive right through BT territory is a death sentence

Using fetuses as tools? :patrice::dahell: Yeah, I'm a have to pass on this series. :francis:
That moral objection is actually addressed in the game. You’re supposed to feel the way you described. The relationship with the BB grows deeper as the main character better understands it. Seeing the BB as more than a “tool” is a critical plot point.

Fragile at the end of DS1: “here Sam, i was able to teleport BB here, i just thought of them as equipment”

Fragile in DS2: “I tried to teleport us both out of there, but i couldn’t possibly think of Lou that way”
