Same reason why I would never let my kid play Call of duty or GTA V.
I cant say which exact movie a person could have watched to commit a crime because im not with that person all the time and I dont know him. But it is still possible that he or she could have been affected by the media.

violence has been on the decline for decades nowYou dont understand. Drill music is creating more violence because it is adding a spark to whatever is there already.
Dont be this dense bro, look at the bigger picture. Violent music amplifies crime. Music about sipping on lean, creates more kids who want to try it. You are underestimating the power of entertainment as a whole. What about the kids with no parents who look up to these artists as a role model because they have no one else to steer them in the right direction. Celebs are really parents to some of these kids without them knowing.
If you dont think it creates more violence, go ahead and let your kid watch anything violent and play whatever violent game he wants. Then watch their actions after. Entertainment has always put subliminal messages in our minds, its the same way they get us to buy things subconsciously.
