Not sure if it was already addressed, but it's not a secret that the criminal justice system targets minorities and those in poverty. Beyond the justice system, the entire system generally speaking sets far too many minorities and the poor on a road to increased chances of incarceration. That said, I can't help but think that if you believe that felons shouldn't have the right to vote after paying their debt to society, you're anti-Black. You might as well support other measures used to suppress the Black vote, i.e. gerrymandering, voter id cards, repealing voting rights act, etc..

Then you're not for a restoration of their voting rights. You're for a restoration with strings attached. And you want to place another burden on their shoulders.
Burden? Like I said it works well for everybody. This is common sense. A year of being productive isn't even hard.

Their vote is just as insignificant as everyone else's own so why shouldn't they be allowed to vote.
