You're a christian so you can't help but see things outside of your frame of reference.
I've said, multiple times, that the set of standards laid out by religion are pretty much universal throughout all organized faiths, while also achievable outside of theist teachings or instructions. I don't see how that's not looking outside my "frame of reference."

Whoa there...wait a minute

Why in the ENTIRE fukk would it "continue to be interlinked"???

I will NEVER condone that sort of fukkery.
Like I said, nothing in this thread will have any measurable impact, so unless you're involved in some other ways outside of armchair discussions, what you do or don't condone is entirely irrelevant.

In 2015, if you're religious and pro-black you're DEFINITELY approaching some quanta of c00n status.
Okay.

I'm just making you look in the mirror
AKA doing nothing with any measurable impact.

and one day you'll realize you can't keep arguing with people who know more about a particular subject than you.

One day you will realize that knowledge which only holds true in the material world doesn't hold as much value as you think it does.

And if you claim this matters, then we should be able to measure the effect of including "god" into the equation to see what god is and is not responsible for
as if this matters

You claim theres some gap and are trying to cover your bases, but you don't identify what the actual gaps are and what is responsible for the desired outcome and in what proportion.

It sure has. You're talking about supplementing modern medicine with prayer then pretending like god gets the credit if you get what you want but ignoring the bad outcomes:
Who said anything about god getting credit ? Prayer or meditation can be personal in such situations, i.e. Making me feel better or calm down or stay positive. Also, some people who recover like being told that they were prayed for; call it placebo effect if you want, but if it brings someone comfort to hear that then what's the issue?

Nothing wrong with praying in such situations, and the overwhelming majority of people who do this don't ignore resources like trained doctors in favor of praying.

Whats dumb about it?

Something inexplicable happened and you attributed it to the "god of the bible" and not the the glitter fairy

:snoop: so you're basically saying since I believe In GOD bad stuff shouldn't happen? And because it does happen I shouldn't believe In my faith?

False. Don't go down this road. You will lose here. All faiths aren't the same, so don't even waste your time trying to play that game.
while also achievable outside of theist teachings or instructions. I don't see how that's not looking outside my "frame of reference."
Because as a theist, you're constantly looking to interject your faith as a foregone conclusion as it relates to it actually being involved in the working order of things.

Like I said, nothing in this thread will have any measurable impact, so unless you're involved in some other ways outside of armchair discussions, what you do or don't condone is entirely irrelevant.
This is a very sly deflection from you.

What does this have to do with believing jesus walked on water?
A capitulation.
AKA doing nothing with any measurable impact.
Now you're dancing.

If you want to play the "well theres more christians" game we can do that too.

Precisely.

You chalk up the wins and ignore the losses.

We're on to you.
Dude its not sweat to me. I came In this thread because I think its so funny that you want to push the atheist agenda so hard on here you even go as far is discrediting our ancestors and people that fought for our rights to push that. Its clear as day people actually bother you that are religious so no matter what we say you're opinion is already set up in stone.

You can believe in what you want, just know there are some serious consequences you're overlooking.

So....what now? Yes, religion bothers me and pursuing any sort of social change under the guise of religion is even more despicable.

Core teachings? I believe they are.

Because as a theist, you're constantly looking to interject your faith as a foregone conclusion as it relates to it actually being involved in the working order of things.
You're projecting. I simply said that faith can comfort and inspire people to go outside themselves (such as taking up pro black issues) and that that's not something to look down upon.

This is a very sly deflection from you.

Why does a black person wanting to further black issues to better their lives come into question if they believe Jesus walked on water ? You're tacitly saying that such people shouldn't have a voice in black issues - which is wrong, but also impossible to stop.

A capitulation.
Okay.

I'm not playing games - which I think you believe this to be, testing your mettle against people who disagree with you for the sake of disagreeing. I don't know if there are more Christians or not tbh. I just know that what you, individual, are trying to preach about right here isn't working.

Your turn.
