Oppressed races railing against laws that oppressed them, based their arguments on the fact that the laws of the land violated an intrinsic right of the oppressed people.

But again according to your worldview that idea/concept is an illusory one that is also untrue(the idea that we have any worth or rights in and of our self outside of what the land dictates cannot be proven to be true)
