It's blatantly obvious.

They will cheer and give props to a school like Alabama and shyt on HBCU's even though this was only 64 years ago.

Which means the sons, daughters and grandchildren still roam the campuses and neighborhoods.

Save the history lesson for the nikkas you too scared to quote :francis:

JSU just had a Nike deal . Not understanding what sort of apparel was generic. Y’all must be talking about practice unis .

these brands got tiers of shyt they offer to schools. when Prime says generic he mean they’re just getting the most basic package Nike offers. Generic team looks, all they do is slap a swoosh and the team color on it. Hell I work with high schools that get better gear than HBCUs

I work with a couple local D1 programs for their gear and sometimes I’ll go hang out at the office with them. The shyt you see on ncaa football sidelines might all look the same but the customization options on them are absolutely insane. I’m talking you can put designs on fukking zipper pulls with the real custom shyt. I would love to take the same model jacket from Ohio State, Clemson and Alabama and put them against each other to see the minute differences

and the thing is it’s not really down to what you can afford. It’s what the brands want you to have and how closely aligned they want to be with your program for a variety of reasons (high growth potential, a particular coach/exec, trying to crowd out another brand in a particular area). I work on the contracts regularly and have tried to get our brand reps to give me more to work with for your HBCUs and D2s because they’re still very untapped markets imo.

North Jersey but I miss Cali :sadcam:
Those schools had a hell of a head start on us though.

But as an HBCU Alum, I know we could do better in giving back

Not really. It was just the simple fact that white schools raided the talent pool after integration.

Black players were still going to the NFL, but a lot of them watched the Notre Dames and Nebraska's, and Texas Longhorns on TV and were conditioned to believe those schools were god like. And it just bled to one generation to the next.

nikka what you mean, “not really”? :gucci:

the first HBCU opened in 1837, while the oldest PWI opened in 1636:gucci:.

No doubt . It’s blatantly obvious HBCUs get damn near the lowest tier package ... and that’s just by looking at their GAMEDAY jerseys . :snoop: Alotta people on here were ecstatic when many HBCUs went to Nike ...and I was like ... :usure: that shyt it is gonna be their “C Level” package lol ... and it damn sure was :mjlol:

I only question why Deion said that shyt because he should know better about how the apparel packages are at the HBCU level .But as @baybulldogs was saying, I guess Deion was just talkin his shyt .

Even back in the actual mid nineties this existed as a real thing.
Athletics wise like me for tennis. If i don't make it as a walk on. Mashika washington to what i would learn was real euro pros had what would be my scholarships grassroots. Where pros from euro or the americas are not under the same age and prize money issues as domestic players. So you had real atp pros who won prize money and twenty plus. Playing me at seventeen years old as one of the hardest hitting juniors easy. Yet i have to go to college and rhen possibly take the tod martin meets ol school mcenroe path to being a pro.
When you compare that to. Hbcu lack of little to No facilities. no great bathrooms, transportation, housing, food, etc. On a big ten campus as a walk on. To even maybe getting any type of ride for an hbcu in tennis. Which i do not even think existed then either.

You are picking the big university.

Especially since those are southern schools and the dorms are just inferior.
to a big ten schools campus dorm cafe sports facilities etc.

The msu im on my campus was probably more state of the art. Than, every building at the time on a hbcu. No fault to the hbcu. As we know the hbcu is as grassroots as can be. In regard to what big universities are.

I am swipe'n my campus photo id in to go workout or play indoors. I play tennis outdoors.
In and around the parking lot of a 100k capacity stadium. Literally Went into shock frfr.
going to practice tennis at the msu football stadium, where the tennis courts are.

You have no idea about the magnitude of college football.
being black at a big ten university from the inner city.
Till you see big rig light trucks hoisted in the air on crane. Like they are insignificant as fukk. With 100k plus frfr to see notre dame versus msu.

You just have no fukk'n idea at all.
No prescient idea at all.
Of the discrepancy and difference till you see it frfr.

So, once you know the subtle differences. Let alone lived the difference. It is no way a hbcu can compete without new deal based funding like white america.
got to terraform their subversive racist way of sheltered big university to real life.

Breh I was a student at Alabama for a min.

The first time I walked in that stadium it was crazy for ME

I couldn’t imagine what it’s like for the brehs playing :ohhh:
