I have a 15-year old niece, whose mother receives $97.00 a week from her biological father. However, instead of spending the money on my niece, she uses the money to eat out, buy herself clothes,(while my niece wears jeans with holes in them and shoes that are falling a part), get her hair highlighted and party. My niece lives with her grandparents and has lived with her grandparents for going on two years now. The mother doesn't pay a single dime to the electrical bill, food bill, utilities or anything else that is needed for my niece, yet she still collects the child support.

Oh! Did I mention that the mother doesn't live with my niece? She collects the child support from my niece's grandparent's house, that is meant to take care of my niece, but the mother has pawned my niece off on the grandmother (the mother's mother). The mother is defrauding the State of Texas' Child Support Division of the U.S. Attorney General's Office, and no body seems to give a crap! I've called and reported the mother twice, but nothing has happened. I'm told that the mother is allowed to do with the money what she sees fit to do with the money. That's bull S***! The money is meant to provide food, clothing and whatever other support is needed for my niece, not the mother! The mother just spends the money, she calls HERS, at will, with NO regard as to what my niece needs.

The mother has no money because she has no job. She has no job because she's lazy and unwilling to EARN her keep. She thinks my niece's child support is her paycheck. I think it's horrible that mothers are allowed to take from their kids and not have to answer for what is done with the money the fathers pay to support their children. This mother is up to her eyeballs in debt, yet pays no bills. She moves from one friend's house to the next, while her parents care for her child, but she still collects the child support? How is that legal? If the child is living under the grandparent's roof and is being taken care of by the grandparents, the child support should go to the grandparents, not the mother who is out spreading her legs to ever Tom, dikk & Harry that comes along. The child support should be used to take care of my niece, not take care of the mother so she can look good for the next date she has. The laws need to be more strict on how people are using the child support.

There needs to be consequences for those who misuse and defraud the system. There are too women out there misusing the money that is meant for their children and it's the kids who suffer! I know my niece suffers and no one gives a damn!!!! It's pathetic that a child has no rights because they're a minor. Someone needs to stand up to these parents who abuse the system and put a stop to it! Make these mothers accountable for what they're spending the money on. If the money isn't being spent on the child, they need to be fined and/or jailed. It's as simple as that. Perhaps the children in the State of Texas will be better taken care

The rest of them the rate is ridiculously low, usually like 10% of the time or less, and usually the momma purposely moves away to prevent that from happening. And she don't even have to show up in court she can have her court appointed lawyer show up while she is remote. But your ass gotta show up in person for the hearing.

Breh I have joint custody and put myself on child support. Half these nikkas be bums complaining or just plain naive to the system . If you have your shyt together all you have to do is hire a lawyer and you will be straight. Its like any other court case, you roll in there with no attorney and you're getting stroked. Those custody orders can be changed, they are just templates you can make it whatever you like. But the problem is men don't take the first step and it ends up looking like you don't want custody because she's just there to put you on child support.

This is exactly what I did when she started getting on that bs cancelling my days over dumb shyt and talking about the money I gave her were gifts not cs. Went right down to the child support office and signed up, the ball was in my court at this point . Then I went filed for custody. They gave me emergency visitation asap on some every other weekend bs. Everything after that was between the lawyers. She didn't want to lose time but at the end she looked stupid as fukk because my lawyer had me submit a packet of pictures of my sons room with his toys, books ect. My mother wrote a letter to the judge saying how much she wanted to be in his life and I just told them I want to be in his life as much as possible and every other weekend wasn't enough came up with a schedule that was fair and that was that. We had a couple of continuances, but at the end her lawyer was clowning her with my lawyer on some this bytch being extra difficult.

Men just need to be strategic with because all this i don't want to get the courts involved is dumb when you dealing with a reckless chick.

I asked if you had stats for non-custodial fathers. Your custodial parent stats really didn't prove your point like you thought it did and you're the one that got emotional. I haven't used a smiley yet. The FACT of the matter is that women are not the ones that come up with the child support amounts, the courts do. So how are you mad at the women about the amount they received but ok when the courts tell you how they should spend it? Direct all resentment or happiness to the court system.

Furthermore, we are discussing women abusing the CSS (child support system) by taking funds from the fathers and the mothers utilizing it for their own personal benefits, not the courts assessing "child support amounts"

I'm just going by what the OP said unless I understood it correctly. Also, paying money is the EASIEST part of parenting. Non custodial parents don't realize how good they have it.

thats easy for someone who can pay. not easy for someone who barely surving they damn self.

im sure in your case its not easy being the custodial parent. but what about the case with the dude giving up 40 percent of his take home and the woman getting that and gov assistance? not having to worry about rent or food and not working. she really got it hard?

Its not just diapers, clothes, food and formula. The kid needs books, toys, may live in a state where the mother has to pay for early education, lights and water (utilities), transportation to and from school.

I'm not for a woman buying Gucci bags with support money just like the next man. But to limit what can be bought i.e. (SNAP/WIC) then I see it making the situation much worse than it is.

I mean you really think they are going to allow car note payments with that card? Or a trip to Barnes & Noble or even Toys R Us?

Just saying its alot more complicated than what people think it is.
