I've heard nothing about him being a mental illness when he was in the NBA til this story.
Could have been diagnosed late in life. But if you research his stories over the years you can see him going on an off meds or being on the wrong meds is usually the catalyst for him ending up on the street.

Bro was on borrowed time mentally and i think the added exposure of the lebron mom controversy sped it up. For all the jokes and shyt said to him one thing online but shyt feel different in RL EVERYWHERE you go.

My guy I got family like this. You can't do the impossible. It's a 24-7 job trying to manage someone like this and they are always teetering on hitting the bottom at the drop of a hat. Despite Mark helping him he's back out there. Now think of all the people who were not publicly identified as helping him who have also tried. It's like stopping the tide from coming in. D gets to a point where he is doing decent and then falls off. Constant cycle.

His story is the story of many others trying to live with similar mental issues, it's a delicate balance. Him at his best wouldn't recognize him at his worst. He in there moving like a passenger I'm his own vehicle.
You described this perfectly.

Yeah, going back to his college days with St. Joseph’s there were rumors of erratic behavior. Mental illness is a beast.
