Thank you...dude just starting watching football or something. He didn't even take into account the number of carries and the ypc for a RB:mjlol:. Those are more of a telling stat about a RBs season than the number of yards they ran that yr to me:yeshrug:
Yeah... Funny how he left out YPC, which is the most important stat for a RB:russ:

No the most important stat is YPG... YPC he was up there with Charles and Shady, and both of them had many more carries, so its safe to say them 2 had much better years wouldn't you agree?
5.2 on 217 carries Murray
5.1 on 314 carries Shady
5.0 on 259 carries Charles

With someone who doesn't play full seasons, YPG come into play. I am sure Murray would like to get paid as if he plays 16 games a year, but the Cowboys need to take into consideration that hes done that 1 time in his career.

You guys keep thinking I don't like Murray, which isn't true, I do like him, I just don't like his new comments, you cant put up 1 monster year and just use that for your payday, especially for a running back. He should not be the top paid RB in the nfl and his comments sure sound like hes learning towards that way.

@Ashyneezz go read my posts before you neg people  anyone saying Murray is #1 RB in the league is the one that "just started watching FB"

Cowboys have an elite offensive line

This nikka is easily replaceable IMO

Dont make the mistake that so many other teams have made(including mine) paying RBs who aren't all time greats

Just pay Dez and let this nikka walk

They probably can draft a RB in the 3rd ir 4th round who can put up damn near 1500 in his rookie season behind that line

Exactly my point, I mean I wont let him walk, I would just adjust the $/expectations.

Does anyone realize what AP would do for Dallas with that Oline? How about a Ray Rice for a league min? They need to keep both Murray and Dez, but I would def get Dez locked up before Murray, and if hes asking to be paid as a top back, you let him walk

When did I say Murray was the #1 RB in the league? If you watched cowboys games you would know Murray would rarely get 20 carries/game. Some games they would only give him the ball 12 or 13 times even though he would have dang near 80 yds on those carries.

What did I say for you to neg me saying did I just start watching football is the better question?

#1 Now a days, 20 carries a game is a lot for a running back
#2 he had 13 (20+ carries a game)
#3 he had 3 (19 carries in a game)
#4 there are 16 games in a season, so 3 games he had 19 carries the rest of the season he had 20+ including 3 30+ carry games)

Again, you dont read my posts your just picking a random sentence and running with it... Go read his quote and you will see what I mean.. hes making it seem like the cowboys can't replace him, this all comes down to what he asks per year, if he wants to be paid top 3 RB money, yes he can EASILY be replaced for cheaper, especially this upcoming season. If he wants to be paid top 10 RB money, then the cowboys have no choice but to lock him up long term.

I was talking about before this season with the carries. That's why his ypg were low

I would not mind Dallas keeping Murray. I however will mind it if they keep him for 8 million a year. A what will be 27 year old running back coming off nearly 450 carries this season producing the same next year? Doubtful.

general rule of thumb is you dont pay backs based off of past production...it's pretty much certain he'll never eclipse the season he had last year again.

RBs are among the easiest to be replaced nowadays.
Truly legendary ones are almost a thing of the past.
That's why Emmitt's record will stand for a very long time, unlike passing records.

I want them to keep Demarco but if he thinks he cant be replaced he is wrong. We could grab Todd Gurley or another good college back in the late 1st or early 2nd and if he's 100 percent then I would be more than satisfied with that. Plus I don't know if Murray will have another season like he did this year. It's possible because he is still young enough but they shouldn't break the bank for him either.
