It works in small doses it works but as the starting 5 for 7 games? I don't know. And all those things are true but Cousins is not a better shooter than Love. He's also turnover prone which is crucial against Golden State. I know Love's purpose (though I wish Bron would play the 4 and Love ain't Bosh) but Cousins much more of a traditional big than a stretch big.

If it was the same Dubs team from last year I'd feel different but KD is an exponential upgrade in scoring, versatility, and size. This lineup destroys the East till June but after that :jbhmm:

Bron is my favorite player so I want him to prove me wrong with or without Cousins.

Cousins is just turnover probes because he has to do everything with that trash Kings team.

In a sound team and offense Cousins would be fine.

As far as cousins I still say he is a better shooter than love (off the dribble in crowned areas and etc). Let's not forget that Cousins played the 4 position many times this past season. He has really expanded his game with the 3 pointer. So he has similar range as love.

Not sure why yall going in depth on this, unless they are moving Kyrie it ain't happening

He's got 1 year left on his deal after this, there's no shot he's re-signing with the Kings, and no one's gona give up a ton of value for him for 2 years without a guarantee of him signing long term. Plus Cousins can't be the #1 option on a championship team, so that's another reason teams aren't going to gut their team to trade for him. The teams that can give more than Love, Shumpert, and several future 1st rounders would be giving away everything they have to at best become a 4-5 seed and that's for a team in the East, and no one's gona do that. The Cavs can legitmately offer as good a deal as anyone who would seriously consider trading for him at this point, and the Kings have peaked with Cousins, he doesn't want to be there and they probably don't really want him anymore either as far as the owner goes at least.

People are really forgetting how good Love was on the Twolves, he didn't lose that ability he just doesn't have free rein to do as he pleases with Cleveland. If he went to the Kings he'd be right back to a 20 and 10 guy.

People think the kings have no leverage so they should just take the first shyt deal available so they can say they didn't lose him for nothing :snoop:

There are a ton of other teams that would make better offers.

I bet you if the Thunder keep Russy until near the trade deadline they won't hardly get anything.......If the kings are going to move Boogie I think they should do it now to maximize the return but they have that new arena so they need to be able to sell a star to the fanbase....As much as Id like it Kevin Love isn't that star.

I agree with that.. if they are going to move him, they need a player they can build around. Not just the team, but marketing and everything. They need to have someone to sell while improving the team. Love won't do that. He may have had that type of impact coming straight from the TWolves, but not since he's become a spot up 3 point shooter.

Celtics are getting cousins

Celtics are going to get Jared Sullinger and hype you Celtics fans up at the trade deadline with Ainges lowball trade offers and at the draft...And you will come back with the same team and continue to add a piece so that you end up a top 3 team in the East.

In the end the nba is all about 30 teams working for a COMMON goal to maximize profits and ratings.

You always have something for nothing trades in the NBA I mentioned this to Malta last year.

Like y'all ain't seen the history of the Lakers and Celtics for 50 years getting lopsided trades?

Like another poster said above I can see the cavs getting cousins then the kings getting the first overall pick for the next 2 or 3 years.

Fans still don't understand this shyt is business and entertainment.

Again, it just seems like trading just for the sake of saying you didn't lose him for nothing. If the Kings aren't getting franchise changing players back, trading him is pointless. Even if they traded for Love, then it would just be a story of who they can trade Love for so they wouldn't lose him for nothing the next year.

If a team has a short window and minimal cap flexibility, a free agent leaving can be a problem but the Kings have nothing to lose. All they can do is hope to draft another player like him in the near future.

Yeah I saw that on realcavs forum. Don't like that trade because it will force Lebron to play PF during the regular season...unless they will defend the PFs the whole seasons and bang with PFs for rebounds.

I still like a trade better for Cousins. You trade a big for a big. A big that can rebound and shoot for another big that can rebound and shoot.

The key is to keep Lebron fresh during the season and a big that can do similar things as love and can defend is what would be best for Lebron at this stage of his career.

Folks keep forgetting that in the NBA you rarely get equal value for all star players.
