This isn't totally surprising, is it? This is the Sacramento Kings we're talking about here, easily the most dysfunctional franchise in the NBA. The ineptitude seemingly never ends with these stooges.

This is the same team that drafted Nick freakin Stauskas, a guy who plays the same position that they drafted a year earlier because their know-nothing-about-basketball owner decided on it and the yes-men he employs all agreed. The guy they passed on, Elfrid Payton, was second in Rookie of the Year voting at a position where they have a need. Instead they decided to give Darren Collison his THIRD chance at starting and lo and behold, they need an upgrade.

They never had a reliable coach who got along with Boogie, but once he got one and the team was winning games Vivek fired him and the team went back in the tank. I understand why Kings fans are still so hurt over 2002. It's because they've been watching their purple and silver toilet flush in perpetuity ever since.

ATL…overly
This shift is so insane. They went from a better than expected start, to firing the coach for no reason, to stories of Karl trying to rally the whole organization to trade Boogie :dead:

It's the smart move to make. SAC isn't winning anything with that brooding malcontent Cousins and the Lakers need more talent. Lakers aren't winning anything anytime soon with Cousins but he's a clear upgrade to their roster and Karl can rebuild SAC the way he wants too. Seems like a win-win...I hate Kobe but he might get Cousins to finally grow up

First Karl beats cancer, then becomes cancer itself.
Fukk him :pacspit:

Can never get along with star players but loves the role players that he'll have full control over.
Right and he does that snake shyt publically. But Mark Jackson is getting slandered for "allegedly" turning the locker room against Festus Ezili.

lol sounds like the red sox and patriots. i have heard him be quite critical

fact remains that he isnt against star players as coach. he has made the playoffs with star players on every team he has coached so far

Is there any star that Karl coached that he didn't like other than Melo?

Did he not get along with Ray Allen & Big Dog in Milwaukee or Payton & Kemp in Seattle?

I thought he got along with Ray and Big dog and Payton/Kemp...Just now hearing about his issue with star players in this thread.

Kemp, GP, Ray, and Big Dog were all players who couldn't carry a team on their own. They weren't necessarily bigger than Karl when it came to running the team. He had issues with Melo because Melo didn't need his system to score points and dominate the game. He obviously isn't a huge fan of Cousins unless you wouldn't be hearing these rumors. He already tried turning him into a facilitating big man. Cousins is a back to the basket superstar, it's against everything Karl does. Same with Melo. He can coexist, but it's not his preference to coach superstar talent with superstar personalities
