Republicans being able to actively work to reinstitutionalize systemic oppression wouldn't exist if the Democrats wasnt the controlled opposition party. That is the fundamental issue you fail to understand, the people gave them a majority in 2020 and the Democratic party failed the people, this is the result.

The democratic party didn’t fail the people. The people failed the concept of America by voting Trump back in.
Biden was voted in to handle the pandemic - which he did successfully, however he was still blamed for the ripple effects of the pandemic which was caused by Trump’s horrible handling of the pandemic in the onset.
Similar to how Obama was blamed for the Great Recession despite Republicans being the reason it happened before his term started.

The democratic party literally told the American people they could not pass bbb because of the senate parliamentarian while the republican party is proceeding to jam in tax cuts/Healthcare cuts thru the same process that you said wouldnt allow you to do shyt. The current Democrat party is a controlled opposition party that doesn't actually want to implement change, the voters see it and the voters DO NOT like it. This has to change which is my big gripe with the party. I've had enough, see my post from 2020 to now you'll see a big change, you see similar metrics with dem voters in polls they dont like the current party. i'd have to argue they did. it was never a question that biden was not fit to run for a second term. so they should have told biden that if he didn't announce he wasn't seeking reelection in 2023, they'd do it for him, and announce that the DNC would not be nominating biden for 2024. it could have been done, and it should have been done
there's zero point even talking about it at this point, because the scenario will never happen again. but it was a massive failure by the people in power. hell, even obama should have gotten involved, and forced biden not to run again
