Oh nah this dude is a FRAUD. How do you vote for Susan Collins if you’re on the left?

@Loose @King Kreole @AquaCityBoy
Even joe manchin somewhere like :picard:

This guy is racking up the :jbhmm: s , but it’s Maine and he already has a cult that would make 2016 Bernie jealous so he’s good

I see where you're coming from, but the original phrasing still leaned on those stereotypes, whether intentional or not.

Just looking at her congressional webpage won't give you the full picture, either. Those sites are almost always surface-level and PR-focused. To understand her actual record, you need to look at her Voteview (DW-NOMINATE) scores or her votes on Vote Smart.

Your point about the AIEF-sponsored trip to Israel is completely legitimate, and I won't pretend I knew about it beforehand. Honestly, it dims her in my eyes, and I can understand why others might be wary of her positions on foreign policy because of it. That doesn't erase her record on progressive domestic issues, but it's a part of her profile that deserves scrutiny, and it's fair to take it into account when evaluating her overall judgment.
It’s all good

I really don’t think she is a progressive at all. Her only thing that differs her from run of the mill Dems is she can jone/snap on republicans. I’m really not a fan of hers at all because I’ve see this game too much. My hope is people who ain’t up on politics see her as a gateway into it and then seek what they really want, instead of her replacement level dem candidate nonsense.

Also, strongly disagree on her webpage not being inportant. Look at someone like Rashida Tlaib’s page and you see she is actually trying, even in a garbage congress.

Trump is seen as anti-establishment. He tells poor Americans what they want to hear—whether or not we agree it's the right way to think. He speaks to the most disillusioned, and yes, sometimes the least informed, and says: “The system is broken, and I’m the guy to fix it.”

His solutions often strike me as nonsensical, but unlike Democrats, he doesn’t try to convince people that the system is working as intended. Democrats defend the status quo. They don’t run on calling out corruption. They don’t name the people who led us into the fire. That’s why Trump was able to galvanize the poor—because they’ve been waiting for a message of change.

And let’s be honest: that same message of change is what made Obama popular before Trump. The average voter doesn’t care about convoluted policy—they care about material improvements. Say it plainly: Medicare for All. Free healthcare for everyone. A $15 minimum wage. A national reeducation program. Two years of free college for all. That’s how you win hearts. That’s how you build momentum. TCM only cares about what outfit and booty shorts the latest tranny is wearing. Hes not the average voter. Most people are trying to figure out how they're going to pay their bills. Trump out populism kamala on no tax on tips

I'm a Bernie primary voter myself but you can't just ignore the elephant in the room with Trump supporters :dead: if what you're saying is true and Trump appeals to the poor so much, why hasn't Trump galvanized poor black voters?

Personally I'm all for policies like Medicare for All, free community college, etc. but I don't think they would ever get enough support to pass. The people you're talking about would just see that as handouts to immigrants and lazy black people. You can't just ignore the social environment.

Collins was seen as a moderate until trump got it office in 2016 believe it or not. This sounds typical for Maine voters he's said and ran on this since he's launched his campaign we've been known this.

Someone who says collins is doing a good job currently or someone who voted for collins in 2014 and now is disgruntled

Pick your choice i know who I would trust leading Maine.

I think 60-70% of Trump voters are racist, but theirs a large contingency of people who voted for trump strictly due to economics believe it or not. Its why we seen pockets of voters whom have voted for trump and aoc, does it make sense ? Yes it does when you think about it they both run on anti establishment populism. Trumps very popular with trade workers and people on the ground repairing your plumbing because he talks to and at them on a daily basis. Democrats basically only really market themselves to cater to the college educated and upper class cacs. Hence chuck schumer infamous we will win the suburbs line

I'm not a Maine voter dog. You don't sound like you actually want to win the state , instead keep ating me about the purity test you hate. You do realize mills is one of if not the least liked governor in the nation right ? Collins will absolutely smoke her considering she already admitted she's doing a good job :dead:. Is platner a perfect candidate ? fukk no but he sounds like hes good for Maine
