Lmao just because they didn’t vote for him doesn’t give Mike Johnson an excuse to objectively make their life worse. Elected representatives are suppose to represent all Americans even the ones that don’t vote them.

You don’t see MAGA shytting on Republicans. They stay on code, the only time they break code is when Republicans turn on Trump
Dog the logic these guys is working with is mind blowing :dead:

"Democrats offered their base nothing" is absolutely ridiculous. you sound like a child
Democrats been running on the same corporate neoliberalism status quo since the 80s. more of the same isn't a policy perspective people want in 2025, which is why power keeps flipping. People want what obama promised in 2008, change. Real material change

She offered materially nothing I only voted for her due to harm reduction purpose. Her vision was essentially more of the same which voters felt more of the same sucked
This type of mentality is a reason why democrats lose. You represent a good portion of the base. If the candidates platform isn’t perfect I’m going to completely downplay it.

Tell me, how would Kamala pass universal healthcare or free college with a Republican senate?

Did you want her to just lie?

We can have a real deep conversation on this but you wouldn't like my answers.

In the last 25 years Dems have had all 3 branches of government several times, one included a super majority. Why should voters trust that dems won't bend to their corporate overlords as usual when they have power? Dems need to go back to working for every day American people and not working for their donors. It's almost like the parties switched sometime in the last 15 years when it comes to that

Yes the one time they had a super majority they passed comprehensive healthcare reform, was it perfect? No. Was it better than what we had before? Yes. Did it materially impact people’s lives for the better? Yes.

A lot of those Dems during that time were Bluedogs and would be Republican after the Trump realignment

I think if we are going to rebuild the Democratic Party we should be open to critiquing all facets of the party. No one should be off limits, including white leftists who may or may not have a problem with black people in power :o:
Of course we should criticize white leftists but that tweet is disingenuous. Everyone is on Jefferies head. He clearly said that for clout and likes.

It helped but it didn't go all of the way, which is why we're in the position we are in today from a medical standpoint . Obama essentially gave into the medical industry which were allowed to create an monopolistic industry when it comes to Healthcare.

As far as blue dogs I agree, but I additionally think the party has taken a very dark turn since the fall of citizens united. At least the blue dogs were conservative in nature, we have legitimate congresspersons being bought and paid for after election due to pac money.

Besides people are on Schumer head as well, unlike Schumer though Hakeem actually has significantly more power when it comes to caucus numbers.

what does that even mean? the american people don't want to be taxed like canadians for free healthcare, and progressives would never allow the stop on immigration and border shutdown that we would need to implement free healthcare for citizens. so no, actually, no one is asking for what you're talking about

you're simply not serious people

I’m not sure of that young man’s intent (if he in fact had an ulterior motive) but the premise of his tweet does seem to resonate with some people whether or not other people also are also displeased with mr Jeffries. As we look forward to building the party up I hope we continue to be open to critiquing all those who claim to be in the democratic tent.

Democrats, this is not keeping your powder dry, for an issue that matters

this is crashing out over an issue that you lose 80/20 on with american voters, and playing right into trump's hands. protecting girls/daughters from men is a winner; trump will win this PR battle.

please choose better

What’s the issue with having trans women compete with men?

The reason women don’t compete with men isn’t because they’d get raped in the locker room, it’s because they physically can’t compete.

If you admit that women can’t compete with men then why do you assume a trans woman who was born a man doesn’t have any unfair advantages?

I’m for trans rights but fighting for them to play in women’s leagues is a losing issue
