Democrats are in a tough spot because the general public think the democrats have gone too far left (due to the progressives being the face of the party in the public square, not the policy making square) and progressives thinking the party isn’t left enough.
This push and pull dynamic is what makes the party unpopular, the catch 22 is if Democrats continue to go too the left without pragmatism they’ll continue to alienate people who don’t buy into the BS.
I too make up shyt to make a point. Face of the party was just kamala then biden who aren't progressives. The current face of the party is Hakeem, Schumer, newsome none of them is progressives, all of them is bland dems the ones you like. In fact they're liberals, and like most liberals they primary focus on social issues like abortion which people like the dude you dikk eating want democrats to get away from
