I think he could easily play comedy he's got the timing down and his imitation of a gay in Philadelphia was unintentionally hilarious. However I saw him in much ado about nothing and that was the first role I have seen him do where I didn't believe in his performance at all

I watched it because I'm a Antoine Fuqua fan as well as a Denzel fan, I was let down cause my expectations may have been higher than it should. overall, I wasn't mad at myself for watching it.

it just isn't as good as Training Day or Brooklyn's Finest. I don't think you'd be disappointed if you saw it though.

Brooklyn finest was trash breh and seemed like a flick that should have come out 1999, equalizer wasn't the best but to say BF was better is just hating

Avengers was better than the fukin Equalizer. Maybe it's because I watch too many movies but the plot twists in Equalizer were too obvious. Like Denzel in the bathroom scene, I could see that shyt from a mile away, so it ruined the movie for me.

Agree with the OP. Denzel been the same cool, cocky, slick talkin' character in almost every flick. They're almost always good flicks... can't think of any I didn't like. But it's still always cool, cocky, slick talkin' Denzel as a cop, as a gansta, as a slave, etc.

Agree for the most part. I won't say better because Denzel is just doin' what many stars do. He knows fans want to see HIM and he provides. I doubt many folks wanna see him step out. But he obviously can. He killed Raisin in the Sun.

Wright has definitely SHOWN more range. He's a character actor. That's what good character actors do.
