Where did I say that Will is a better actor? I said he has more range. Can Will do every genre that Denzel can? Yes. Can Denzel do every genre that Will can? No. That doesn't mean Will has more talent, it means he has more range.

I can't see will being able to play a gangster/hood character as well as denzel. Definitely nothing close to Alonzo in training day.

This is of course a matter of opinion, but I think Will could do it. He definitely has the necessary charisma to pull off a great villain, he has the comedic chops to make it memorable, but he likes to play it safe. If Leo has the talent to pull off a great villain I don't see why Will would have any trouble

Not gonna lie, I've done that scene a few times in the mirror. Quintessential Denzel with the facial expressions and everything.

The thing with will smith is that he's too likeable as a character so I can't picture him playing a role where the viewer is rooting against him. Unlike denzel who became a true villian by the end of training day. Would like to see will play a villain tho just to see how he does.

EDIT: I think this mostly has to do with everyone remembering him as the fresh prince too.
