They ran the ball 6 times in a playoff game.

Even the Chiefs knew to still run the ball when down against the 49ers.

It sets up your play action and errrrr

why am I trying to convince you :russ:

Did that surprise you? Bc it didn’t surprise me :youngsabo:

Ravens gotta be careful not to fall for the fools gold. They are good enough to blow out 95% of teams. The problem is what happens vs the 5%—-healthy burrow, Allen, Mahomes——when they can’t score first and control the game script. They should use these blowouts to fine tune the pass game. Running for 300 yards and only passing 25 times bc they can ain’t it.
:umad:

I don’t wanna hear about no set up play action. It’s Lamar Jackson. If you put ME at running back the defense will respect the threat of run/rpo/scramble. So Derek Henry doesn’t really change that

I called it last year. I’ll call it again this year. They better not think they done. They still need another high level WR and modernize their offense, not revert to that triple option mess

Did you watch the game against KC?

It’s more complex than just ‘well run da ball’

They were down 17-7. Now when you have faith in your QB, you can faith in your ability to still run.

However, they don’t have faith in Lamar as a passer. So that 17-7 felt like dire straits to them. Bc they didn’t trust Lamar’s ability m to get chunk plays, to score quickly if they needed it, or for Lamar to keep s going if they got stuffed and fell behind in the sticks.

It all comes back to lack of faith in Lamar as a passer.

What you’re saying doesn’t make sense. So they stopped running the ball due to lack of faith in Lamar’s arm?
:wtf:

Still a lot to do for the Ravens. Lamar is all good, no doubts in him at all.

RBs - Henry and Mitchell, need one more as Mitchell is injured. Draft? Or bring back JK and Dalvin Cook?

OT - Need to draft 1 or 2. Must improve here. 1st round pick will be taken here.

Receivers- Zay, Andrews and Likely. Likely really helps them here, but that’s the only 3 to be relied on. 2nd round pick to be taken here.

Defense - Need to hit on some later picks here to make up for losing so many key members. Losing their DC plus the likes 4-5 starters is tough. Simpson has to take the step up to replace Queen. Mid round picks to be taken here.

Good looking out. That helps them.

A lot depends how long Keaton is out for. It’s at least more than half of next season right?

Until then, Henry, Hill and Cook/JK?
Yea I wouldn’t even count on Mitchell and Cook isn’t under contract. I wouldn’t mind bringing back JK on a 1 year prove it type deal. But I doubt he’d even wanna come back here

You can’t ‘lose a step’ and still be a top tier RB.

Almost without fail, RB quality comes down to juice. Legs. I’m always goin with the younger legs.

It’s a hard thing to do, but you must, must divorce yourself from names. It’s the #1 real teams overpay for dudes and fans overrate dudes.

People fall in love with names. Last year this time it was ‘Dalvin Cook to the jets?! :damn:‘ That plus all the best RBs are young. People just don’t learn

I agree with a lot of your football posts, but completely disagree here.

Cook was/is not Henry.

Derrick Henry is a totally different freak athlete that was dealing with terrible QB play. He's not washed or over the hill. He will be a top five rushing HB this year.

He was still a top tier RB though, He just doesn't have the gear to get those 70 yard TD runs anymore. Those runs are 20-30 yard gains now.

He will be a good pickup for the Ravens next year.
